Ok all you people hating on ZZ, she said that she trying blending blues with poppy music. Blues itself has many different sounds and forms. She may sound more mainstream with this song and the rest of the ep, but it's amazing because it all comes from the heart just like blues should, and just as all the rest of her music does. Don't hate on an amazing artist, who deserves respect, just because you don't like a new song they come out with. ZZ's always comes from the heart, as all music should, and it expresses who she is and what she's gone through. The fusion of sad lyrics and a faster pase sound in this song shows how hurt she was in the situation and how angry she was at the same time. Stop and think about the music and where it comes from before you hate on someone who's super talented and deserves immense amounts of respect.

It's like they paid a year 2 AutoCAD/Maya student $50 bucks to doodle for a couple hours and posted the results.

this is just awful.. she completely changed her sound compared to the "til the casket drops" album and this is just trash.. this doesn't show her vocal ability at ALL and sounds like something some kids threw together in garage band. not a fan.

I honestly didn't really like this album, and I honestly tried to really like it. I was in love with her Eleven Roses EP & Til the casket drops! Her sound was sooo dope to me. And I know artist wanna try new sounds, but I don't think this sound really fits her imo.

What happened to her?! She sounds so overproduced now, like she's been caught in the snare of the music industry. Makes me regret not seeing her in concert when I got the chance, cause this new sound is terrible.

I'm all for an artist trying a new sound! It's actually cool to see them being able to transition into different genres, but I didn't really like this album too much. Has nothing to do with being closed minded or anything, just wasn't feeling it.

Second effort so I'm content to blame the producer for what I have heard so far. #3 will tell the story.

maybe its just the visuals? its not a fun video to watch..her live stuff Is better unlike so many artists..but her voice is just as great in a more electronic/dance style as her wonderful blusy rock music...

Damn, I really love ZZ Ward but listening to the two new ones I'm not sure I will buy the album.  This stuff will really have to grow on me.  Might listen to this while working out.  I miss the bluesy songtress, she has so much soul and this shit doesn't show that off......

I like this song but not Love 3X, not gonna buy her album to it all comes out and I can listen to it. This one is cool, I'm a runner and I get sick of the same beats, this will keep my mind busy while I'm hitting the pavement. Love you ZZ!

I know it's not like the previous album, and of course i prefer it from Love 3X. But it's not bad to try new sounds. She's new and trying to find her tune.... She's not the first that change her sound a little bit, and not the last i assure you.... Good Job ZZ

Really dont like this i think i will stick to listening older stuff from Til the Casket Drops thats stuff was so amazing...this is meh...kinda disappointed...waited so long for new stuff just to get this :(

Finally, 'Lonely' is more her brand than 'Love 3x'. I was relieved when I heard this song. Great job ZZ and look forward to you releasing more of your new album :-)

I like pop music, but ZZ has always been special. She has that sexy, soulful voice and the last album was so incredible. Like someone else said, it was something to show off to friends. LOVE 3X was a little TOO pop for ZZ's voice and this song has surpassed that and gone way too far, in my opinion. Maybe she's just trying to make it onto mainstream radio and get a hit by conforming to their standards, but I always thought she was better than that. Hoping the rest of the album delivers something more authentic.

+bryana wells ZZ would have to become a waitress at her local diner if she didn't think about having to appeal to a wider audience.

ZZ this makes my heart sad. Your last album inspired me. This one sounds like you sold out. It's unique yes....but nothing compared to the music that made us fall in love with you as an artist. You brought back old sounds to a younger generation and made them new. But with songs like these on your album...I mean understand that maybe you wanted a newer poppy sound. But you might as well have slapped us all in the face giving us this crap. We want to hear songs from zz word. Not whatever sad person wrote these. Artists change and change is something we should all embrace. It's the only thing that stays constant. Sure... it sounds nothing like the first album, but it's just a single for top 40 radio. Chill, my friends. ZZ always gets it!

ZZ Ward used to be something I'd play for friends, put on the playlist at parties, be confident in showing off. This? Who would ever play this? Who would put this on their headphones and listen to it? I'm sorry, I don't like the production here at all. Better to just go "unplugged" with an acoustic guitar and nothing else than to go in this generic all-over-the-place pop direction.

Well we haven't heard the entire album yet just the two songs. But I'm betting it's a mix of mostly pop music and maybe 2 or 3 songs of the old ZZ. Yes the mixtape was an excellent set of songs, I can't believe she gave it away for free.

Yes, we were lucky to receive a beautiful work of art for free. Also thank you for having intelligent and non-derogatory comments, it made for good and interesting conversation.

I'm not sure if I like this song or not. It has a lot of different beats to it, almost too many! Just when I get into a groove, it changes into something else.
