Zombies, The - Leave Me Be Lyrics
If it seems that I'm too quiet, that's 'cause I'm missing her
My mind tells me I have to fight, but I can't help missing her
You better leave me alone, you better leave me alone
Until I can think about her without feeling sorry for myself
I don't wanna meet again until I'm sure I'm over her
By myself, feeling tired and wanting, is not like I thought it would be
Love just cannot end at parting, my world's dropped from under me
You better leave me alone, you better leave me alone
Until I can think about her without feeling sorry for myself
You better leave me be 'til I don't need her anymore
I don't wanna meet again until I'm sure I'm over her
Oh oh oh oh, oh oh oh woh

Zombies, The Leave Me Be Comments
..*!*..
Happened to me when I was 18. Still makes me sad when I think about it.
My band did three Zombies songs in the 1960s. "She's Not There," "Tell Her No," and "Leave Me Be." I still play this one on occasion. We saw them in concert the other night and they played for a couple of hours. Magnificent.
Played the Heck out of this on 45 RPM as a Kid ! :) QC
The choir brought me here!
"NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED!" That'll hold up in court.
Still gives me goose bumps. Great lyrics! Great song in my favorite key - E minor.
I came to this video to learn the melody. I still have a 1965 sheet music collection titled The New Discotheque Book: British Invaders in which this is the last song, titled "You'd Better Leave Me Be," written by Chris White, C. 1964 by Marquis Music, London, and noted "Recorded by the Zombies." It was one of the first guitar songbooks my brother and I got -- labled as K No. 62Q in the K series and contains sheet music with chords for 62 songs by the Beatles, Stones, DC5, Zombies, Searchers, Animals, etc.. Cost $1.95.
I remember spinning this 45 RPM as a Young boy :) QC
panda bear
I heart this song from Gustaf Noren. Its a beautiful song !
Now why did that have to end ? I was in pure bliss.
still great guysand great live!
a b side .... amazing
Very good
Amazing...these guys are my fave from the 60s..This stuff hurts my heart.
Totally in love with this song.
Maybe it's because of what was happening in my life at the time this song came out, but this has to be my favorite Zombies' tune. This song never got it's due.
It's hard to pick one favorite, so many are great!
panda bear song for ariel !!!
Sonny & Cher did a pretty good version of this song
That one dislike has to be one disturbed person. Let us hope that he'll (or she'll) get the right medication.
The person who dislikes the song must take Zombies series. LOL
a fantastic track by a much underrated group that transcends time...just as good today as it was yesterday.
Underrated song from an underrated band ...
Sounds like the original version to me (early1965).
what version is this? the drums sound great
Jim RS good to line ones birdcage that's about it
and STILL not in that disgrace Rock Hall of Fame.Rolling Stone is was and will ever be a RAG
Agreed, Gerry, It,s nothing but a N.Y. money grabbing RAG. If only there were more folk,s that saw this as well, you,ll notice , I hope that I did,nt say FEEL, oh they FEEL , but they don,t see, or conclude , or, afford freedom of expression;
are you certain of that ?
RHF is a popularity contest, not an objective evaluation of innovation so I don't care about them. The Zombies were great in there time, but they just happened to be in the wrong time in history. Competition was fierce in 1966, Led Zeppelin was launching, Beatles were on top, Eric Burden and the Animals were hot and so many others Cream, anyone? Oh, there were also The Stones. The era of the "Bad Boy" bands was starting. The ladies went for the bubble gum rock. The Zombies fell between the cracks.
Great band, I remembered them through the years, Enjoy! K
One of the great underappreciated Zombie tracks. I've played this in my car six or seven times in a row, just digging on this great little melancholy tune with great vocals.
Wonderful!
One of my favorite moody songs of all time. Zombies were ace. Their first album (The US version) is great. The only flaw of it is that it doesn't have this track on it.
Belle version en français : Les Sultants, dis lui.
Beautiful.
George Harrison will always be sexy in my book too - great song one of my favorites!
Wth are you talking about?????
