Ziggy Marley - Black My Story (Not History) Lyrics

Black my story, black my story
Not his-tory, black my story
Black my story, black my story
Not his-tory, black my story

From education to civilization
From astrology straight to biology

Black my story, black my story
Not his-tory, black my story
African glory, African glory
What we want to see, is African liberty

From Marakeshi to Egypt, Rio-De-Oro
From Cape Town to Addis-Ababa and Congo

African glory, African glory
What we want to see
African liberty, give it to me

Oh, black my story, black my story
No not his-tory, black my story
African glory, African glory
What we got to see, must be Africa's liberty

From Mozambique to Libya
Oh land of the Uganda
From Senegal to Somalia
Oh the land of good Ghana

African glory, African glory
What we want to see is African liberty
Black my story, black my story
Black my story, not his-tory

A black my story, I and story
Black my story, not his-tory
Black I story, black my story
Not his-tory, an African glory, chuc'aw African glory

Okay part 2 of Jamaican Cafe so I think I mentioned this before but I'm going to say it again what if there was movie coming out and show how black people made a difference in change how the history of entertainment from music to movie starting with silent movies and it was a competition with the white studio and blacks to your bike that can you imagine if a movie show and also was made and you can see what effect this would make this movie is original people this is what I'm talking about seeing what we could have done the power we would have and how we would have changed everything. Jefferson the building changing the wave the design of architect in New York City from here to around the world Jefferson would have owned 1500 and build and design not a dry cleaning he would be his own kingdom in America good time the show living in a slum they would own and design and build an Empire that found me format show oh no it be different:oh hell no Florida shooting be a CEO the kids would take over the company and follow through and continue all the Legacy you see what I'm talking about this is the kind of movie I want to see in the fair this is what I would spend my $15 or $10 on a freaking out popcorn is such a rip-off, t we have to spend $10 for a bucket of popcorn that grabs a it tastes like cardboard
So this is not going to happen and you know why it's too close to comfort for white people to admit this could have happened and this is why slavery never go away. And let's not forget I'm not a show Different Stroke by white people they would have their parent who is very well taking care of their kids growing mother and father who is successful so you see how things would be totally change of brown from these shows that were back then I can continue on if we were in power to have our own in the street and change it for the better because a society so scared of a culture who can do and sink and Achieve and accomplish what we could have done it'll be fantastic amazing it will break records it would definitely Shake Floodgate break the dam release the Kraken so they stop ask fun ever seen are mansion and how we would shape this world for the greater good, means possible for us to succeed in this 🌏
Until next time people peace out

  7. H.... O....

This song represents the opening of my eyes ... being born in Europe, being Surinam, being black, African .. took many more years to digest though ... actually, until Stephen M's 'Made In Africa' (2017)!!

Surinamese are Akans from the Fante Tribe in Ghana

They were captured by the Dutch during the Slave trade era and shipped to Suriname
