So many possible influences on this lovely song and yet it's incredibly unique. Whimsical for a bit and then it pulls you back, only to return to whimsy again. You really have to color outside the lines to write something like this and only Dwight could perform it. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Could've done any genre. A major, major artist. Always getting compared to country great, and rightly so, but I don't think there's been more than a handful of recording artists in American music history with this level of versatility; never mind in country music.

What a beautiful song and only Dwight Yoakam Can pull off a change in direction in music and still make it work. THREE PAIRS is a magnificent album & every song deserves not only air play but NUMBER 1 ratings. Dwight was Number 1 from the first album he made in the 80s and still is in 2015.
