On that same music video episode that played this video was another one which was the farewell video for the Bay City Rollers. So when the announcer said they were playing a farewell video and this video has the lyrics, "bye bye band", I thought this must be the Bay City Rollers video. So I've thought for decades that this was the wrong band.

Very hard to believe that the "Leave It" video was done by Godley & Creme, who had done quite a few famous and groundbreaking videos at that time for artists like Visage ("Fade To Grey"), Duran Duran ("Girls On Film"), Herbie Hancock ("Rockit") or The Police ("Every Breath You Take").

When this video came out on MTV it created quite a buzz because it was so unique and out of the box. Now a third grader could make this in 15 minutes on a smart phone. After all these years though its still a cool video and a great song!
