I have never seen and listened such great song in Japanese rock band.

Metal tune which preasant melody and power song, i think.

果たして日本のバンドで　これを超える曲を書けるバンドが居るだろうか？ってぐらいの秀作、傑作ですよね。

海外だと、ジャーマン、プログレ、ネオクラシカル勢が書いたりで結構　居るんだけど
いずれも組曲形式。

30分弱、途切れることなくテンションを保ったまま
静と動を繰り返して最後まで書けるバンドは
エックス以降あまり現れてない気がする。

ルナシーも10分弱の長い曲を必ず入れるバンドだったから後のビジュアルロックに影響を与えた曲でもあるかもしれませんね。

この曲の歌詞を読んだときに衝撃を受けて涙が出ました。
楽曲を聞くというよりも魂のこもった絵画を美術館で鑑賞する感覚で聴いてしまいます。
この曲の重みは言葉では上手く形容できませんが…

つまり、ほんとの天才って受けいれられないってなくね？

YOSHIKIもToshIも天才。血を吐きながら一年もレコーディングするのは狂気だが、ゆえにこれを超える芸術も簡単には生まれて来ない。

Oh, shit ... I clicked on this, and now I am bound to stay and listen through it all, leaving all else aside.

I'm not ready for really long songs, especially when a song has 29 minutes duration

But when I listened again, wow.. There are so many compositions and medleys. I wonder if guitarist, bassist, and drummer has much stamina to do at first 15 minutes.

After that, there's piano solo and I didn't even know that I'm at 24 minutes already. There are so much broken parts, but magically I'm still listening and i'm at 24 minutes already

And then going back to main music. Wow, 29 minutes flying so fast. How magical

Indeed.. A melodic, dramatic & powerful song

Try listen to Nightwish - Greatest Show On Earth. It got the same vibes

wow. that was actually pretty amazing. X is special. Rusty Nail is one of my top favorites as well. Wow. When bands make long songs that dont feel like it, its a success (not that i mind) but wow.

The piano section is the best metaphor for moving on, whatever it is, no matter how easy or hard, how soon or how long it takes. The 3rd movement is a fucking glorious phase of anthem because of it.
Getting up, regaining our balance, acceptance, and moving on.
Like phoenixes, like cockroaches, life - beautiful or ugly - is all about moving on, again and again till we're ded ded.

この曲が発売されたのは俺が中学の頃だった。当時まだ子供だったから「幾ら大好きなロックバンドX JAPANだからって誰が30分の歌、曲聴くか！普通は5〜6分だろう。」…と偏屈な思い込みから一切聴こうとしなかった。…ソレから6〜7年の年月が過ぎ、当時既にHIDEが他界し解散していたX JAPANの曲を聴きたくなりこの曲を聴いた…するとどうだろう。激しくも美しい曲で不思議と心に安らぎすら憶え眠ってしまった。20歳過ぎて大人になってたって理由もあるんだろうけど何故中学の時に聴かず嫌いなどしてしまったのか。素直に聴こうとしなかったのか…と後悔した。このART OF LIFEと言う曲はそれ程の楽曲であると今となっては確信している。そしてこの曲は当然YOSHIKIのピアノありきの楽曲。何か思い違いしとる馬鹿豚アンチが勝手に弄くり倒して原作レイプ紛いの醜悪な行為やらかしとるけどな。

Lots of symbolism in the piano solo. The melody being played throughout is the inner self that is trapped; the scrambled notes and chords are frustrated emotions becoming out of control.

The people with the most talent are the ones who suffer the most.

I've heard enough metal bands but these guys are just so unique and irreplaceable, they are legends.
