Wood Brothers, The - Buckets Of Rain Lyrics
Buckets of rain
Buckets of tears
Got all them buckets comin' out of my ears.
Buckets of moonbeams in my hand,
I got all the love, honey baby,
I been meek
And hard like an oak
I seen pretty people disappear like smoke.
Friends will arrive, friends will disappear,
If you want me, honey baby,
I'll be here.
Like your smile
And your fingertips
I like the cool way you look at me,
Everything about you is bringing me
Misery.
Little red wagon
Little red bike
I ain't no monkey but I know what I like.
I like the way you love me strong and slow,
I'm takin' you with me, honey baby,
When I go.
Life is sad
Life is a bust
All ya can do is do what you must.
You do what you must do and ya do it well,
I'll do it for you, honey baby,
Can't you tell?

Wood Brothers, The Buckets Of Rain Comments
Dear Whitley, I'll do it all for you, just for you Honey Babe, I hope you can tell.
this is such a beautiful cover, i think its full of emotion, weird how music can be felt so differently <3
don't like this cover
it's stripped of all its emotions and feel
It more fun for a cover to be different than just the same thing.
sometimes trying to duplicate the song , I believe to be an insult !
The Circle Will Be Unbroken - The Wood Brothers Keepin' the faith - Very sweet indeed brothers..
This is a great cover; finally some good music is coming back. Keep playing you guys. Remain with the old ways when composing and singing, don't let contemporary influences spoil your grass roots. Listen to "The Byrds" and more of Bob Dylan - cover some of his other work. :)
It takes a lot to laugh, it takes a train to cry
dylan's blood on the tracks, last track
i concur ... wood brothers are the bomb
@everalwaysonly Now you've gone and made me feel inferior. Sorry for the misunderstanding. I thought you were referring to Wood Bros writing 'Buckets of Rain'. I'll listen to 'Wagon Wheel' later today. First I'm gonna spend the day whining rather than accepting that discussion is learning. Jeez I'm inferior. In so many ways. Inferior, inferior, inferior.
@everalwaysonly - wow. Actually Dylan released the song on the 1975 album Blood on the Tracks and Old Crow Medicine Show started their recording career in 1998. A few of them would have been in a crib when they first heard the song.
They own this song now Dylan...give it up!!!
dig it!!
absolutely ruined this song. don't know who the wood brothers are but i never want to hear them again.
LOVE IT!
@nwisnoski1017
hah, yeah that got me too i, that guitar lick
Bob dylan wrote buckets of great songs, the best writer ever.
"buckets of rain" vs. "corrina corrina"
Dylan wrote so many songs, of which I prefer the covers; this is definitely one of those songs... very well done.
