Wishbone Ash - Where Were You Tomorrow Lyrics

Well, I walked ten thousand miles 'till I came to you.
Well, I walked ten thousand miles 'till I came to you,
And you.

Well, I'm leaving you, baby
And I'm leaving too far back, now.

Well, I walked ten thousand miles 'till I came to you, who
Well, I walked ten thousand miles 'till I came to you.

Well, I'm leaving you, baby

I remember a long time ago a friend of mine telling me that she went to a concert with the Allman Brothers and Wishbone Ash on the same bill. This was a logical choice, since they were both dual lead guitar bands.

    w.... d....

I saw him live in Long Beach CA in the 70s. He WAS amazing

  24. P.... N....

Though I am always partial to Martin Turner as the voice of Wishbone Ash, they all rocked it in their own ways. Fan-tastic group.

  25. S.... ....

    These men are freaking awesome.

  26. e.... ....

I remember listening to WA in the early '70's when I was in college, but I don't remember them being this good. How come it took me 40 years to really "discover" these guys? It's a shame how many things we come to appreciate late in the game or, worse, after they're gone.

  27. R.... T....

Yin and yang don,t remember them in the line up. Why do people read so much into things??? Just say awesome tune and great guitars not a load of away with the fairies stuff.

  28. S.... ....

Steve Upton is doing an awesome job on the drums too! love that band to this day

  29. s.... ....

Andy, Ted, something really cool about seeing them together. It's likely newer viewers don't really know how they influenced guitar art.

  30. D.... M....

    Gotta love the Kimono......

  31. M.... ....

hahaha tha guy dancing in 2:10

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD THE BIGEST BAND IN ROCK HISTORY

  44. c.... ....

got to love those dancers too

  45. b.... ....

2:07-Jumps in like a house on fire, and keeps going like the Energizer Bunny! 4:06 breaks into this cool jazz comping /soloing....I mean, really-does it get any better than this?
    I think not.

  46. n.... ....

Damn wish I had noticed these guys back in the day, I missed out on alot I guess

  47. b.... ....

    @flubbumx
Rory was doing tapping when EVH was still pissing his diapers.

  48. b.... ....

How could anybody not like these guys?

  49. b.... ....

Wow...incredible lineup! Love the way Powell and Turner play opposites off each other; the Yin and Yang of guitars. Too bad the cameraman wasted so much precious footage on the dancing retards instead of keeping the lens where it belonged.
I remember seeing this on Rock Concert, my first exposure to Wishbone Ash. Such an underrated band, and so damn good!

    b.... ....

buellosaurusrex…..I agree with you about the cameraman wasting precious footage. dancing retards..lol

  50. F.... ....

@JeffKnight The Ash were great -- but I'd say that where twin lead bands are concerned they were a very respectable second to Gorham/Robertson-era Thin Lizzy.

  51. l.... ....

Thank you very much for posting this video, it's great!!!!!!!!

  52. 9.... ....

2:10 ! Hey, look everybody! I'm dancing!! Will no one dance with me????

  53. 1.... ....

1973 was a golden year for music.

  54. H.... N....

Looks like Elton John with a guitar, but sure knows how to play some rock'n roll!

  55. M.... J....

i can see triumph was influenced heavily !!

  56. A.... B....

Thanks, that sure as hell does not look like Ted Turner!

  57. A.... B....

Who is that on the other lead guitar? I'm sure it's neither Ted Turner nor Laurie Wisefield.

  58. 4.... ....

the best band with the best songs. how could they they go so under the radar when they meant more to those who listened than led zeppelin?

  59. m.... ....

Lovely mixture of Gibson and Fender tones on the lead solo! Great band!

  60. R.... K....

    the memories come flooding back

  61. P.... C....

    Awesome!

  62. a.... d....

@slw59 I have thought for 30+ years that "Sometime World" should have been on "Live Dates". Good call!

  63. a.... d....

I wish they would have used this on 'Live Dates' instead of 'Baby What You Want Me To Do'. It's obviously the same tour. It would have improved what is already one of the greatest albums ever! Awesome! Thanx.

  64. S.... ....

@ttoflea Save room in the machine for me.

  65. R.... K....

    Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  66. P.... H....

    Rock'n'Roll all over

  68. s.... ....

The more I listen to this the more I like it.

  69. M.... ....

Indeed, Andy may be well...bald...now, but he can still play guitar and sing and that's what matters!!

  70. b.... ....

been a long time since Andy had that much Hair ;-))
if you get a chance, go see whats left of 'em they still ROCK !!

  71. T.... M....

YUP Ditto that, The've been an inspiration and a joy to watch live ... Thanx all ! - But what is that 'Raver' diong in the middle of ths set in 1973 ... lol

  72. g.... ....

It doesn't matter what I believe. It only matters what is. Either I sense beauty very well or I don't. I'm not in competition with others in this regard. The only arrogance is in thinking that we matter. We should all want to die forgotten men.

We should like all the colors equally. They each have a unique function. Yellow is a happy color etc. Colors in themselves have no beauty. Beauty comes in what's done with them. I need a pickup truck. You drive what you need. We marry our soul-mates.

  73. g.... ....

You ought to look for a video of Alvin Lee with his band "Ten Years After" at Woodstock circa 1969, because that's exactly where this lick came from.

  74. g.... ....

I don't believe in personal tastes. Beauty is a universal constant. Some percieve it better than others.

  75. I.... S....

    Awesome!!!

  76. c.... ....

oh so coz clapton likes he he must be good. get real. hes overrated. not a great guitarist. very boring. no soul. end of

  77. c.... ....

    fuck off vaughn is shit

  78. c.... ....

  80. g.... ....

Wow, so this is who Eddie Van Halen needs to thank for part of his intro to "Eruption"(between 0:24 - 0:46)

  81. n.... ....

the finest blues rock i've ever heard

  82. m.... ....

Great to hear this again! Been a long time!

  83. 1.... ....

    GREAT !
It lifted me right out of my personal blues ...

  84. I.... ....

Great but whats wrong with that laid-back audience?...Get out and dance Guys(and NIT like that Woman,either)..used to leave their London concerts in 72/93 covered in sweat!
    Biggest 2 Regrets?..
1/Not seeing Led Zeppelin Concert at Wembley in 73 because my Football team lost that afternoon and I was pussed off(Front Row ticket=75 PENCE..i.e just over ONE DOLLAR!
2/ Not seeing Rory Gallagher...that would leave anyone exhausted.Rory=R.I.P. M8

  85. A.... ....

    That guy is a gal.

  86. N.... ....

Great, I love the way they blend blues with hard rock what an underrated band.

  87. F.... N....

the dancing guy at 2:06 pissed me off

  88. s.... ....

Yeh sure - totally agree! - this is BLUES... WA do sometimes rock out in blues fashion, and it's great! - I do like Rush, but you can't compare these bands at all - too different...

  89. s.... ....

this was the last track on the pilgrimage album, recorded live, and just made them a must see band.always went down well in newcastle, saw them many years later in 1981 @ reading and the first thing andy asked was is any one from newcastle in before playing blowin free

  90. A.... M....

    andy powell rocks

  91. J.... R....

There's nothing prog about this performance. It's an English guy like Clapton et al playing straight ahead in your face electric delta blues. That Flying V guitar reminds me of delta bluesman Albert King's V. Get a earful of those Johnny Be Good licks!

  92. B.... B....

so true.. but then again ted was a great guitarist

  93. C.... H....

I saw them in Ulm in '82, and if there is a better live band, you couldn't prove it by me.

  94. r.... n....

have argus and discovering what a great and under appreciated band they were....long live wishbone..

  95. m.... a....

like alot of great band us aor stations wont play this stuff. sad people would love it even today if given a chance, i saw them in germany when i was in the army and was blown away.

  96. d.... j....

    Now there's the Rub!

  97. S.... M....

    Yeah, triffic band! Bones.

  98. w.... ....

I too saw them first time around 1970 in Birmingham UK, my favourite band ever since, thanks for uploading

  99. 0.... ....
