Wings - Tomorrow Lyrics

Oh, baby, don't let me down tomorrow,
Holding hands we both abandon sorrow,
Oh, for a chance to get away tomorrow.

Hey, baby's got a lazy dday on sunday,
Here's a pound, we hang around'til monday,
Oh, baby don't you let me down on sunday.

Bring a bag of bread and cheese and find a shady spot beneath the trees.
Catch abreath of country air and run your pretty fingers thro' my hair.

Tomorrow, when we both abandon sorrow.
Oh, baby, don't you let me down tomorrow,
Thro' the week we beg and steal and borrow.
Oh, for a chance to get away tomorrow.

Honey, pray for sunny skies so I can speak to rainbows in your eyes.
Let's just hope the weather man is feeling fine and doesn't spoil our plan.

Tomorrow, when we both abandon sorrow.
Oh, baby, don't you let me down tomorrow,
Holding hands we both abandon sorrow.
Oh, baby, don't let me down tomorrow.

Oh, for a chance to get away tomorrow.
Baby, don't let me down tomorrow,
baby, don't let me down tomorrow.

Oh, don't let me down,
Baby, don't let me down tomorrow.
Baby's, don't let, let me down tomorrow,
baby, don't let me down tomorrow.

I love this album-I still have it on vinyl-Top three songs on this album: Some People Never Know, Love is Strange and Tomorrow...

  2. e.... ....

Why do I hear the influence of the Kinks in the song? It sounds like a fusion of songs from the Arthur/Village Green era. I love it.

    Maravilhoso.

I can't believe I live in a world where this is only has 17K views! people are missing out!! Lol

  7. I.... W....

I guess after writing a song called "Yesterday," this one was only fitting.

    I.... W....

but later he composed "hope of the future", ironies of life

    I.... W....

Ian Wallace he also wrote Here Today in 82:)

  8. P.... W....

This would have been great on Abbey Road with John and George singing those harmonies.

  9. R.... G....

When Paul McCartney left The Beatles his first new album contained this song which floored this young man in his early 20s (me)! God! How can one man write such great songs?

    R.... G....

Are you serious? This was his first as co-leader of Wings (Danny Laine was an essential member as well). He had published his self-named album, and RAM as truly solo efforts before that.

  10. T.... o....

    Incredible

  11. R.... A....

    No, leave us Paul!

    R.... A....

Guess you meant "Don't ever leave, Paul" in non-broken English? Anyway, could not agree more. I kind of avoid thinking he's mortal like everyone, I'm just not prepared to watch him go.

    Ricardo Arellano Haha yeah
