At first I was disappointed that it wasn't as good as Blackbird. But nothing is as good as Blackbird!

I was loading the dishwasher and the melody popped into my head. It took me a minute to work out what the song was...and here it is, 45 years later, and just as lovely as it was when I was 13.

This was one of those post-Beatles songs that was in my opinion, as good as any Beatles song in their prime. It's just lovely, romantic with a haunting moment here and there. I also think Ringo's "It Don't Come Easy", "George's "My Sweet Lord", and John's "Imagine" were as good as anything they made as The Beatles. Paul's "Uncle Albert Admiral Halsey" is my favorite of all post-Beatles work.

Paul was the real talent of the Beatles. John got a lot of glory but John really didn't go much after Paul was gone. Paul was already writing songs before the Beatles and John just picked it up. But John wasn't the talent of Paul. Plus John screwed up his life when he hooked up with Yoko. She stole him from himself.

@Pat Stokes Early in the Beatles John was more prolific, but Paul surpasssed him around the time of "Help". On their final album George was strongest, having the two best songs on Abbey Road. Overall Paul was the most powerful, in the Beatles and solo.

I always love this song , also the digital remaster makes it sound so much better but at 3:00 into the song is a really bad note , normally I wouldn't agree with fixing bum notes because usually they add a charm a vibe to the song , but this one's really bad , I'm surprised a digital remaster would bring that guitar acoustic so off tune out in the forefront of the mix , that's the beauty of old analog or vinyl mixes , it hides it and enhances it , but this really needs to be fixed , I'm thinking mayby there was an accident during the mastering or the actuall upload itself or mayby the original 4-track tape got damage , who knows.

Lovely note at 2 mins 45 Paul! Considering this is the remastered version, couldn't they have tweaked his notes so they were in tune at this point? One of my favourite McCartney tunes but this note is so far off it smacks you in the face!

I'm sure Paul heard that and decided to leave it that way - it is off but for me I like it, adds this quality of imperfection and DIY feel that makes things more interesting than when everything is flawless. Admittedly this one is on the edge of that cool dissonance and bad but I remember that off-note standing out to me when I first heard it so many years ago and I always thought it was cool that he didn't fix it. Makes it kind of grungy amidst all the lush beauty of it.

@Mark St. James Actually what I said , many off notes sound really good on Vinyl and analog tape mixes , but on this digital master it's does not work at all , it's pretty harsh. I enjoyed the off guitar of this track when I hear it on analog source but not in this mix.
