Wilson Pickett - That's A Man's Way Lyrics

Yes, sometimes it seems that I don't care
Don't worry 'bout it, baby, don't you never, never, never fear
That's a man's way, oh, that's a man's way
(That's a man's way)
Of lovin' you, yes, it is, yes, it is, child

One more thing, I know I buy you so many fancy things
When you already have so much, you just can hardly find room enough
But that's a man's way, oh, that's a man's way
(That's a man's way)
Of lovin' you, yes, it is, yes, it is, child

If I had to leave you and go away, you know what?
I'd write you a letter each and every day
One more thing, I know you get so tired of me callin' you on the phone
But that's a man's way of sayin' you just don't wanna be all alone

If you give me a million things to do, you know what?
I'd do them all, baby, just to get back home to you
That's a man's way, oh, that's a man's way
(That's a man's way)
Of lovin' you, yeah
(That's a man's way)

Yes, it is
(That's a man's way)
A real man's way
(That's a man's way)

Another great B side , the Wicked Pickett giving all he's got ,never see his like again

  3. W.... D....

Atlantic records co opting the Stax Volt production tech and slicking up the sound with some smoking background singers! I can hear the Otis Redding riffs.in the horns.Pickett always kicks serious ass! One of my favourites from high school daze.

This is the great Wilson Picket, and I mourn him. No entry of his can go without comment. Current music fans have no clue what they're missing...

This was not a big hit,I suppose, but I fell in love with this song, particularly the section starting at 1:13. Don't you feel it?

    B.... F....

    The horn section is ACE!!

    B.... F....

Can't argue with that. Horns were quite prominent in the '60s Atlantic/Stax labels music: Otis Redding, Wilson Picket, Sam and Dave, etc.

I miss those days. Fortunately, my digital copies aren't ever going to wear out:)

    B.... F....

    yeah...from 1.13 mins...
I used to start all over from 00.00 to that point..
The horns, the voice and the lyrics though!!
Still listen to this almost daily on my MP3 player.
