Wilson Pickett - Something You Got Lyrics

Something you got
Makes me work all day
Something you got
Makes me bring home and pray
Something you got, oh
You ought to know
Well I say my my, oh whoa
I love you so

Something you got
Keeps me home every night
Something you got
Makes everything alright
Something you got
Honey you ought to know
I say my my, oh whoa
I love you so

Something you got
Honey you ought to know
I say my my, oh whoa
I love you so

Something you got
Keeps my home every night
Something you got
Makes everything alright
Something you got
Honey you ought to know, alright now
I say my my, oh
My my, oh
My my, oh
I love you so

My my, whoa oh
Mama, oh oh
My my, oh whoa

A great version of a great song written by Chris Kenner. Another really dope version is by Neil Darrow (who seems basically unknown, I can hardly find anything on this guy, but damn he could sing). Darrow's version is from 1965 I believe. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mmy3Crln3aY

Im'm not sure about the rap group, I'm actually into classic rock and heavy metal, but I have always loved old r&b like Wilson Pickett, Sam and Dave, etc. I think this music inspired all kinds of future musicians.

I saw the same Hardee's tv spot also. I remember the rap group Brand Nubian used it on that song " AIN'T NO MYSTERY'

  26. s.... ....

I heard this song in a Hardee's commercial and thought it sounded like Wilson Pickett even though I wasn't sure. Typed it up on YouTube to see if I was right and I was. I'm glad I was because this is a great song.
