Deniece straight outta Gary, Indiana & each and everytime I hear her angelic voice, all I think about are my summers as a youth spent with my grandparents in Gary, Indiana. Priceless!!!!

I had no idea they had this song together. I know she sang it with Sandi Patty. I love this version as well. This collaboration explains my entire childhood of the 80s. We went from listening to Earth, Wind and Fire to Gospel - Deniece Williams.

I am watching a gospel video. Before the video appeared, there was a commercial of a man in nothing but a pair of tight briefs. and, the body was slicked up. He was flexing his body and provocative music played. Then Invictus came up. I took off the sound as soon as it came up.  What was worse, I could not skip the ad until almost the end.  This has happened SEVERAL TIMES when I watch gospel videos.  I would like You Tube to be more considerate and do a better job in where commercials are placed.

This is another "Deniece Williams" favorite of mine! I like both renditions of her with Philip Bailey and also later with Sandi Patty (which I think the Deniece/Sandi version won a Grammy Award).

@aliquippawill If You think that this version of Niecy singing They Say was good, You should hear her remake of this song with Sandi Patti. That was the first time I've heard of this song...was with Deniece & Sandi and they tore that song up. Now don't get me wrong, this song is hot...But Sandi and Niecy went off on that version.

THIS was my song! I remember this song on a Blue Cassette Tape! Dang I would love this on Vinyl! This would sound soooo good on my record player -- like old times. lol Am I really this old so soon?

@osajojo yes I love this mellow heavenly sound. I always wanted to hear her gospel greats so someone sent me a clip on it. She's awesome. I wish I knew when the Dove awards was because I heard she had won so many. She just has that heavenly spirit.

She has the sweetest voice...(so does he) I try to hit all those high notes when singing "Gonna Take A Miracle" or "Let's Groove" and "September"
