The chorus is unbelievable on this song. Particularly from "You watch us dance" to "the sound is the blood between me and you". The feeling in that is so real, so amazing a description of a bond between people who love music. It still blows my mind even having heard this many times. Zillions of songs about attraction, and Carrie came up with a new and beautiful one. I was not a big fan of Sleator Kinney, but Carrie, you wrote the best lyric of the century so far. This song made me go back and reevaluate SK.

That's Janet on drums! Cooool I had no idea this existed. I just assumed Janet disappeared into the same limbo that Corin did after the breakup, while Carrie became a TV star.
well, in all fairness....corin is still around, even appearing on Portlandia. however, yeah....sleater-kinney just picked up the slack, drafted mary timony from helium and....some other girl on keys and formed this!! it's so not sleter-kenney, but just as fun!
Corin released some stuff as The Corin Tucker Band. I can't really recommend it though.
