Honestly I don’t really like the chicks vocals but other than that the song is top tier

I am amazed at how many songs by the White Stripes speak to my life experiences. I once had a fantasy about Rita Hayworth, I once had a delusion that I was making love to a female ghost and I once had a female married math tutor who was getting pervy with me. (Take Take Take, Little Ghost and Black Math in respective order)

My beloved husband of 35 years, many adventures, struggles, laughs and devotion to each other, passed from cancer in Feb 2006. Since I was 17 yrs old and he was 4 yrs older, we had been together. Back in the 60s and 70s you started "living together" without being married. Our age group back then, was changing the clothing, the music and the general uptight moral majority. Anyway, he passed around 200 am, I was summoned to awake from where I slept, the couch beside his hospital bed, in what used to be a dining room.
I grabbed his hand and kissed him and told him it was ok to go. I watched the overhead light slowly dim and then slowly coming back on. The energy of the spirit leaving. I kept denying his visits, but the younger grandkids would see him all the time. Especially the 1 yr old grandson. He would see him sitting on the couch, say his name, etc
When I found this cd, and the Little Ghost song, it was perfect. I was always skeptical about his visits after he passed away, and denying him talking to me all of the time, I used this song to kinda tease my husband's spirit. After 2 yrs, I really got lonely, missing his entire presence. So "IF YOU REALLY ARE AROUND" Little Ghost, Little Ghost can you scare me up a little bit of love?!!
Then I met Buddy. He drove 4 hrs to meet me! We are together 11 years. now......

I almost thought Loretta Lynn was somewhere in this song..reminds me of Portland Oregon by her and jack

Meg's lower pitch backing vocals really make this song great. Jack does the tenor/alto..but his sister Meg does the tenor/bass. Beautifully done, one of my all time favorites, & i sing it late nights @ work because the place i work is seriously haunted & i work alone as a janitor.

Nicholas Dobos yes, I thought the same thing about them being brother and sister. Jack was set to play at a bar that meg was working at and he asked for someone to accompany him on stage on drums, meg stepped up, they played the gig and it was well received, that's where the white stripes got its start. I for one cannot imagine life without their music. I love all of Jack's other work solo and with different bands, but i always comes back to the white stripes. For sure one of my all time favorites.
