I feel for you all after losing your mom. I lost my dad to lung cancer 3 years ago, April 2016. It developed years after he was exposed to agent Orange in Vietnam.
Then barely a year later, March 2017, my mother passed from a lung condition as well.
My dad was on a vent and in the hospital the last month and a half of his life. It was really hard on my and my twin sister, but we had the chance to say goodbye a week before he passed. Our 2 older brothers lived out of state, so I set up Skype calls and put headphones on my dad so they could say goodbye in private, even though he may not have heard them.
My mom passed unexpectedly after being in the hospital for two days. We didn't get to say goodbye and it's the hardest thing I've ever had to deal with.
My mom had bad health for years, but nothing that we ever thought would ever take her life.
This song is so touching and I can feel the emotion you've all put into it
