Wow. I remember being up front at a show and when Kyle started singing, I reached my hand out to him and instead of high fiving me, he held my hand until he finished the song. I remember that night was one of the best nights of my life. I will really miss Kyle. After meeting him I can genuinely say how kind and funny of a person he was.

I've always interpreted this song as Dave's discontent with the road life, and that Kyle's portion is reassuring Dave. Through that lens, there's so much love in this song and as a band as a whole, which is what they have always been about. The familial love that they have has never wavered, and that's what has been most refreshing about this band. Although it's not much solace, I sincerely devote my condolences to them for the loss of Kyle . WCAR forever.

I dont get how everyone hates Kyle and loves Dave. I like them both together. Think how this song would sound if Kyle wasnt in the song. I dont think that Dave could sing "My home is in the words you say" like Kyle does and get the same effect. These guys are my all time favorite band and without Kyle, I don't think they would even represent the same band. If you look up WCAR in Google, Their Genre comes up as "Melodic Metal-core". Without Kyle they would be just "Metal-core."

The thing is that the term "melodic" comes from the melody of the guitars and instruments not voices. Also, kyle is just a umique voice, no talent in there, just unique. Dont get me wrong i love them as a band but lets face it, he is just unique, not good.

@Oskars Maceiko Yeah, kudos to Kyle, but I'd like to see Dave go do some independent work... One of the best singers I've seen in newer bands.

@Tim Ramsden Kyle was always using auto-tune so sounded terrible love. In the newer stuff they have written it'seither no auto-tune or barely any. He sounds a lot better live now becaus ehe can actually hit his notes. David is still my favorite though. He's a beast especially live!

Dave is a good singer, but his voice belongs with Kyle's, it's like both their voices have sex and make the most majestic thing known to man. WCAR wouldn't be the same if either of them left

It's probably because they don't write the lyrics, the guitarist Joshua Moore does. So they aren't as attached to the words as he is.

Yes, the guitarist/ song writer giving up everything, Family/friends etc, just to spread a message to kids that give his music a chance know there is Hope in life!! Lol ya i'll have to agree with you on that ever since metalcore/post hardcore has gotten popular because of bands like Asking Alexandria the music has taken a step back and post hardcore and metal core in general has become extremely generic basically just copying Asking Alexandria note for note which is why I started listening to the older stuff because there just aren't that many good bands now a days with the exception of A Day to Remember, We Came as Romans Miss May I .

Yeah, Theres always exception where a band borrows certain features from other genres and incorporates them features into their own sound thats the beauty of underground music such as metalcore and post hardcore, until recently there has been no commercialization but bands such as pierce the veil and sleeping with sirens have changed that. Bands like that are destroying the scene. Discussions are the way forward :)

Good point, in fact now that I look at it your right metalcore is entirely screams I was wrong good points sir. And yeah I never took this as an argument more of a discussion I wish all youtube conversations were like this lol.

It terms of Miss May I, I would say they are somewhere in the middle between post hardcore and metalcore, but as always with music (apart from pop) bands bring something different to the table whether it be a unique blend of genres of certain aspect of their musicality. Oh and by the way don't take this as an argument of insults, like 90% of YouTube discussions, take it more as an adult constructive discussion.

I would say they are more metalcore with a bit of melodeath. They aren't really as heavy as other melodeath bands (In Flames, Arch Enemy, and Shadows Fall) so that's why I say their more metalcore. I'll argue this if there are no cleans in metalcore does that make Miss May I post hardcore? And yeah I forgot about those bands and unearth my bad.
