yesterday was september 29th, the fifth anniversary of the album.

A lot of people say how much they miss MCR when they hear all their solo music. I never got to see them live or anything. And I would love to see them do one more show so I could go. But I don't just miss MCR. I miss the entire punk genre. In a world where all people talk about is pop music. It's all the same. Everyone is the same. Punks were always different. If you listen to all the different punk bands. Not one sounds the same. But every pop song that I hear on the radio. It all sounds the same. There are some different ones here and there. But you'll never hear them as much because they weren't what people expected. It's not what they wanted. So they don't wanna hear it. While there are some punk bands remaining, I never hear their new or old stuff on the radio. Again, cause it's different. I have heard some people say they don't like Danger Days because it's not what they expected from MCR after The Black Parade. It was very different. But it was still art. And it was still the same band that we love. That changed us. They changed. They even said it's okay to change. And that it's okay to grow up. It's not just a band or people that I miss. It's the whole genre. Because even you could make friends who were like you. Friends who you immediately understood. Even as total strangers. That's what punk rock did. So many of my best friends are online friends. But pop music, you'll never see that in pop music. I have seen it. People I know fighting. And ruining friendships. All because someone liked Taylor Swift, and the other liked Katie Perry. They weren't fighting about them specially, but they let their friendship gobecause of the two different pop artists they loved. If you do like some pop, I don't mean to offend you. And I'm sorry if I did. But I feel like this needed to be said. Even if MCR never gets back together in the future, we can still carry on for them. Get them playing on the radio more again. We need the punk and rock genres to be revived. I feel like it would make a huge influence on a world where people mostly listen to pop. If you read this all the way to the end, thank you. Then, Ian Curtis died and came the New Order, consisting of Joy Division's surviving members. They are the inspiration for Gee's music as Gee wanted to make something New Order-y , something called New Wave of British Music, aka New Wave. New Order, The Smiths, The Cure, and many more are New Wave. It's kinda like "Summertime" by ...... you know who. Chill song with electric guitars, like pop but not pop. So, don't go bitch about dissappointment. Instead, cherish new music. It's great. (Except Pop. Pop is never great)

I remember mcr splitting up and immediately waited and waited, and waited for something else. I heard Gerard was working on some solo music, I was so happy, and I waited even longer. It finally dropped, and I believe this was the first song off it so it was the single. I told myself this is going to amazing. The cover art, so beautiful, then it happened. I bawled my eyes out so fucking hard, and when I heard brother and just knew. This is the most talented artist of all time.

Hesitant Alien is a fuzz record, turn down the bass & you might hear them better. The lyrics in all of HA are amazing & they mean far more than the words say, just like MCR.

have you heard Baby You're a Haunted House? That's Mikey & him. Hazy Shade of Winter cover is Ray and G, and also Happy Together cover and the song for G's comic Cave Carson has a Cybernetic Eye, Into the Cave We Wander. Not the whole band, but G & Ray have done quite a bit together.

i've been a fan of mcr and gerard way since i was just 15 i think? their music helped me so much, and today i am 28... i lost my mother recently about 3 months ago and the fact gerard has sang songs like happy together and a carpenters song is probably like a dream come true for me, my favorite singer of all time singing the music my mother played for me when i was just a little girl and had grown to love, thank you gerard for always being there for me in life through music. you might not be with mcr anymore, but you never let me down...

Got into this talented guy’s work recently. I’m a little older 34 and passed on MCR between Helena and black parade. Recently went through a lot of emotional stuff and rediscovered MCR. Thanks! Now I have a ton of new music to carry me through!

This is more of my type unlike heavy rock, dont get me wrong I love MCR but Im not really into heavy rock but I really love their songs but this is more of the softer side and I love how Gee works it out ❤
