Watson, Gene - Cowboys Don't Get Lucky All The Time Lyrics
He met her in a honky tonk
Singing country songs that he wrote
She sat at a table
Listening to his music and drinking coke
Well, he sat down beside her
She said I like your music, sir
But foolin' 'round is certainly not my game
When the small talk was over
The cowboy drank his beer and took her home
Lust on his mind
In a bedroom he had her all alone
And when the night was over
The cowboy shook his head
'Cause she slept on the sofa
She still sees the cowboy
On the country shows and sometimes on T.V.
He phones her up and talks to her long distance
From wherever he might be
He'll ask her how she's doin'
She'll reply by sayin', oh, just fine
And the moral of this story is
Cowboys don't get lucky all the time
Cowboys don't get lucky all the time

Just like good bourbon, it gets better and better with time. One of the very few classic artists left. Check out " The Jukebox Played Along " , or " Anywhere There's a Jukebox " by Razzy Bailey.
Another great song by Gene Watson! Thanks Jackie! I am going to see him on the 11th!
Omg lm telling you he the best of the best in real country music love me Gene Watson
J.W, the presentation reminds me of back in the days when we had to adjust the horizontal hold on our old black-and-white Zenith TV set, and, if THAT didn't work, we would hit the hell out of the side of the set with our palm (or fist)! Usually THAT worked! Seriously, the way in which you have the pictures move is a refreshing idea, and I think it adds a lot to the presentation. And, most of all, thanks for posting one of my favorite Gene Watson songs! If anyone should be in the Country Music Hall of Fame, it should be him, but it doesn't look like it's going to happen. Well, WE have more taste than those current-day sellouts in Nashville, anyway, so WE know that Gene belongs, and that's all that counts!
appreciate you listening
