Warren Zevon - Networking Lyrics

There's a way to live that's right for us
Like Mayans in Manhattan and Los Angeles
I'm scaling up, I'm breaking down
And I'm doing lunch all over town

Networking, I'm user friendly
Networking, I install with ease
Data processed, truly Basic
I will upload you, you can download me

There's a long hard road and a full hard drive
And a sector there where I feel alive
Every bit and every byte
Is written down once on the night

Networking, I'm user friendly
Networking, I install with ease
Data processed, truly Basic
I will upload you, you can download me

There's a prayer each night that I always pray
Let the data guide me through every day
And every pulse and every code
Deliver me from the bypass mode

Networking, I'm user friendly
Networking, I install with ease
Data processed, truly Basic
I will upload you, you can download me

Warren Zevon Networking Comments
  1. P.... G....

It is. But that drum is mixed way too loud. 90s disease

    P.... G....

Yep, I hate drummers. Nice electronic organ on the tune if it wasn't covered up by the damn drummer.

  2. Y.... P....

    Sounds like a love song.

  3. e.... g....

    love it

When I say that I fully believe Warren Zevon was psychic, after a fashion, I am either informed of the fact that I'm certifiably nuts. or laughed at. Frankly, I don't give a crap. If you read Crystal Zevon's biography, you'll pick up on things that smack of far more than coincidence. I believe Warren was tuned into a greater, fuller Reality than most. This song, written long before the Internet was more than Bill Gates' wet dream, should be proof of that. I love that Warren gave it his own naughty twist: " I'll upload you, you can download me". Mr. Bad Example at his delicious best. Rock the Pillars of Heaven, Excitable Boy! And save me a front row seat!!! Kat Jennings

@Retro Reginald T- City is a painfully underrated album songs like this, Splendid Isolation & Down in mall kick ass Hard! Even transverse city itself has a very slick style, Along with Run straight down.
