Wariner, Steve - Don't It Break Your Heart Lyrics

Fly like an eagle, an outlaw of the sun
Stealing 'round your bedroom door
A case of hit and run
Sinner, sinner, I'm no angel, you can see

So I will tell you now
And I won't say it again
Don't mess with me
Oh, baby, don't mess with me

Ride like a demon, the devil's only son
A whiskey drinking son of a bitch
I've only just begun
Sinner, sinner, I'm no angel, you can see

I told you once before
And I won't say it again
Don't mess with me
Don't mess with me
Oh, yeah, yeah

Soothe me, baby, like I soothe you
Treat me, baby, like I treat you
Sooth me, baby, like I soothe you
Treat me, baby, like I

Fly like an eagle, an outlaw of the sun
Never take what sleeps around
But always get your fun
Sinner, sinner, you're no angel, I can see

I told you once before
And I won't say it again
Don't mess with me, no
Don't mess with me, no
'Cause I'm a sinner

And sinners ain't the loving kind

This CD was Steve Wariner's first major release, and he already sounded like a seasoned profession, which indeed he was.
For those interested, he recorded a pretty cool album entitled, "Stoned River Band".
He does all the singing, and if you're lucky enough, you can buy the original LP off of Ebay.

At the early age of 17 he started touring with Dottie West, and released this album soon after.
The following was straight from Wikipedia....
Steven Noel Wariner was born on Christmas Day of 1954 in Noblesville, Indiana.[2] Influenced at an early age by George Jones and Chet Atkins, Wariner started performing in his father's band, and later moved on to playing in local clubs. By age 17, he had been hired by Dottie West as a bass guitarist, and played on her single "Country Sunshine".[2] He also worked with Glen Campbell, who he has cited as a major influence on his work.[3] After his stint with Dottie West, Steve Wariner toured playing bass for Grand Ole Opry star Bob Luman, and it was during this period that he was signed to RCA records by Chet Atkins, with whom he toured internationally playing bass guitar in 1979.

Ditto klg1956 - I saw and met him in person - he signed his pic with this song, but he did not like this song - he would not sing it - he had the hots for my blonde friend, he also dated a neighbor in GA when she was younger - a blond. lol I love almost all of his songs - but as for Rick Astley - no way - may be Steve Holy - country singers, even christian singers would sound awesome.
