Hi Billy,You are correct the originals did and also backed up Wanda as they did for Elvis. Lois and Isaw patsy in Safford,AZ ib 1962 ansd 63 wirth the group the last time just before she was killed. We saw wanda, george,Melm and Roy and all the stars of that era. Just read today that Gordon Stoker of the Jorfanaires died. It was stated that the Jordanaires backed up Patsy Cline's recording of Crazy.

Thanks I found her website and it seems she may be back in Phoenix later this year. I sure hope so and I want to thank the one who talked about comparing one entertainer to another in the first place it is not fair to either one and in my opinion its like charactor assination. I saw both Patsy and Wanda in Safford AZ in the the early 60's, Patsy just before she died in the plane crash and she was one of a kind.

Does anyone know if Wanda still performs? I didn't see anything in the Branson entertainment news catalog.

Saw Wanda 1963 Safford,AZ what a great performer she and our Patsy were good friends and helped each other. As I recall Lois and I saw Wanda twice and Patsy just a month before she was killed. Outstanding but still short of Patsy. No one will ever top Patsy on this one.

I'm thinking Wanda was singing from the heart, with this one. The woman was a true legend and put her stamp on any song, and made it her own.

This version is as good as Patsys'

If you're a Wanda Jackson fan, you don't compare her songs to anyone else, you simply sit back and listen to her do another beautiful version of whatever song she is singing. You like her or you don't...everything else is moot.
