3:13  That lead is the EXACT same melody progression that pink floyd did, I think in their 1994 album, or perhaps in Echoes. I know for a fact I've heard it there.  Sounds amazing nonetheless.

The whole solo (which I love) is very similar in style to the U2 bonus track The Crystal Ballroom from their most recent album.
