Wale - The Followers Lyrics

Yeah, what’s it all for? Trust in no man, but give it up to my Lord
I might influence entire wars from maricons
There’s levels to this fellowship, you stuck on the same board
Truly provoking, shining new light through my zones
The women open I should be light behind doors
Oh that’s swag, call me trash, who yall’s source?
Cause y’all sheep, the way I see it you’re all lost
Look what I encompass while you lacking direction
Why would the guide lie to us, you’re looking fly Olympics
Anyone, Jordan, Johnson, Phelp shit
I can off-hand, hit you right with strong hand hits
In the zone little nigga doing small bowl rips
And my broad doing things only saw on flicks
Oh shit I’m the man, ho
Dunk Lows, only those come Japan, ho
Money fold, women clothes got me paranoid
Only fair to lose your ear at wedding ceremonies
Either way they should be voided

[Hook:]
Follow me, follow me or forget me, follow me [x3]
Follow me, follow me or forgive me, ‘cause y’all about to see

[Sample:]
(The point is I intend to undertake this.
And I'll do it with or without you.
So if you're scared, if you haven't got the stomach for this, let's get it out right now!
And I'll go on my own.
If not, you can get on board and we can get to work! Now what's it going to be?)

But nigga is you crazy? They say I lost a step
Like the second wedding ring bearer somewhere in the orphanage is, do you blame me?
But the anger I express, providing messages, it’s not for parents you forced the kid
And you hate me, because you too lazy to decypher what I’m writing, and I say to it
“Oh, I never fall off I get my Bill John Wall on”
Bills that [?] go long, your bitch nickname is hold on
So called my jump off, she so far my call on
You beat like you Paqi you street fight like Bora
En garde, en garde, yeah, touche
Life’s a lemon so why make it a Kool-Aid
Hold your bread, it’s not what you getting, but what you say
Hold your head like in a blizzard rockin’ a toupe
Move, Folarin probably coming through
Camera roll like Pornhub, closet look like Karmaloop
Oh Folarin probably letting off, M box like model cars, closet look like Bergdorf
Checks ain’t in stock, but I never fall to what rich niggas care about
Birds in my parent’s house, shot, fuck malaria
Back to the spot I still rock the rarest apparel, yah

[Hook]

Nigga is you crazy?

How are you! Are you hoping to be prominent on Instagram? I've been recently trying to get an effective way to become well known on the gram for countless years now. I was able to grow and maintain my brand by using this manageable strategy of building up followers. I founded a wristwatch company awhile back and my husband just left the online business due to the fact that we were doing so badly. I had tried using everything until I stumbled upon this. It managed to get me to over 100k followers and afterwards and now I'm pushing 12 watches each day and have a truly stable clear profit. I at the same time expanded my own account to over 50k followers and instantly all of my friends envy me. It can be fun to show it off to the fair ladies that I meet up with at nyc pubs. I am going to enable you to do it too because you chose to look over my story. Basically drop by the website mentioned on this vid and then type in your trusty old IG username. ➡️ _Just search this here on Youtube_: *biginsta5000* (NO SPACES)

  18. T.... K....

I can honestly say I dropped a few tears to this. You can hear the depth of pain he feels from the world taking his content and being bashful no matter the production. One of the most criticized artists ever. Despite being beyond passionate through his music to fulfill his core and new fans no one seems to realize what this man has done for the city he grew up in the life decisions that he made to pursue this route of being an artist. Wale I tear for you man because they will never get it. Long way from the go-go, dig dug, and rhyme of the century.

  52. e.... ....

151,103 Views? this is Sad,this shows that the society has lost it mentally, the brainwash as gotten to deep..i'm honeslty  addicted to this song, not jst because it gotta make me dance, but jst because its got a nice vibe enriched with creative influencual messages..

  53. D.... J....

Just like the legend the Notorious B.I.G said it and I quote "you're nobody til somebody kills you". Man those were some real true strong meaningful words from him. This is how ridiculous it is getting right now for this man Wale. No one appreciates you until you're gone. That's what it seems like is going to have to happen in order to earn the respect that he deserves. Wale you have been putting out a lot of great songs such as Golden Salvation (Jesus Piece), Black Heroes, legendary, Kramer, Shades, and the list goes on but all the songs I just mentioned are underrated. I just hope wherever you drop from now on snatches everyone respect like Cole album just did.

  54. E.... W....

ONLY 140K AFTER A MONTH?!!!! smh...this shit is as inexplicable as when people try to explain why they don't like him..."idk..I just don't"

Wale, from me to you...Thank you

  55. a.... ....

Not sure how people said Wale fell off when "Simple Man" was on the Gifted album. That track alone proves he's just as dope as a lyricist as he always has been. Maybe MMG pushes watered down bangers for the masses, but Wale's talent never went anywhere.

  56. J.... ....

    honestly dont like the flow

  57. s.... ....

Yall must be feeling something im not cuz the lyrics are average ,and the hook is mediocre yall just listening tht dope ass beat n thinkin its great song when in reality the only thing great about tht song is the beat, legendary was wales most lyrical song ever

    s.... ....

The lyrics and metaphors on this track is ridiculous i think you not rockin with the flow and delivery on this track

  58. J.... M....

    Kendrick
    Wale
    Cole
    KRIT
    Joey
     - there's a whole lot more, but these are my favorite out right now, in no particular order

  59. F.... M....

    Welcome Back WALE

  60. L.... M....

    good song

  61. K.... R....

Cole. Wale. Kendrick. Krit. Logic. In that order.

  62. v.... l....

did he say at 2:16 hold your bread, its not what you getting, never what u save or but what you save

  63. D.... J....

A lot of people call Wale trash but they probably don't know how to break down rap. There are different types of rap. There's lyricism, poetry, storytelling and ect. Its all about what your taste is and who you relate to the most. Wale is a poet when he rhymes. If you take the beat away and just listen to his lyrics, you would be able to read it like a poetry. Guys like Kendrick Lamar, I consider lyricism. You take the beat away and he is talking to you but very fast. Great storytellers are like Biggie Smalls and J. Cole. Everybody knows what a storyteller sounds like. These rappers I just mentioned have different style and are great in their own way. So to really compare rappers with different style is silly. It all depends on who relates to you the most.

  64. N.... N....

Tbh anything wale puts out..I already love

  65. M.... ....

Wale is the type of rapper u have to actually go look up the lyrics to get the full understanding of the song

  66. L.... V....

    real hip hop ;-)

  67. E.... P....

"they say i lost a step like the second wedding ring bearer somewhere in the orphanage is, and could you blame me?" -Wale. Think about that one.

  68. I.... A....

He bodied this song nuff said

  70. T.... ....

    Dope visual

  71. K.... W....

Been rocking Wale since Nike Boots. I love everything he does. But he can't please everyone. There will always be someone that doesn't like what he puts out like they could do better?! If you have nothing nice to say shut up and keep it moving. You don't have to listen to him.

  72. L.... ....

    #freemeek

  73. J.... G....

Wale Is Undoubtedly In Anybody Who Still Likes Real Music Top 5 or 10 And If He Isn't You Must Be A Chief Keef Fan 😂😂 But Here Go My Personal Top 10

    10. Joey Badass
    9. Rick Ross
    8. Cassidy
    7. Childish Gambino
    6. Big Sean ( When He Not Doing Mainstream)
    5. Drake
    4. J. Cole
    3. Kendrick Lamar
    2. Big Krit
    1. Wale

  77. Q.... N....

Wale is poetic genius as always.

  78. W.... ....

The hi-hats in the beat came from Raekwon album Cuban Linx - Incarcerated Scarfaces

  79. K.... D....

Best rapper in the game hands down

  80. P.... P....

People keep saying "Wale is easily the best," "moving to Mmg was stupid," "he fell off since attention deficit," "he's to good for Mmg"... And all this crap... Smh... Firstly, attention deficit bombed and he got dropped from his label, secondly, Ross can rap his ass off, Meek is dope, and Stalley has a chance to be special so Mmg isn't trash... He made the best move at the time for himself.... And trying to pick between Wale, Cole, Drizzy, Kdot, Krit, and there are a few other really talented rappers in that age bracket, is simply a matter of taste because they're all DOPE and super talented.... Wale didn't fall off... I bought both of his albums under Mmg and they're solid from beginning to end... Instead of saying how he made the wrong career decision, fell off, blah blah blah how about you go support dude cause his sales suck because all his "fans" don't purchase his shit and stop comparing him to everybody else and appreciate what he does cause he's pretty damn good regardless

    P.... P....

Ambition sold more than 500,000 and the gifted sold close to or more than that so what are you talking about and he sales a lot more than most hip hop artist he in top 10 rap sales damn near everytime he drops minus maybe attention deficit.

    P.... P....

Not true bro... But you got it

    P.... P....

    @Jamal Wallace Well said...

    P.... P....

+Kyree Russell Lmao I wouldn't listen to him 'cause he's sold around 1.2 million records off of his 4 albums and then you have single sales and the likes. And he has the nerve to say "not true" LOL.

    P.... P....

lol ik ambition and the gifted are both certified gold albums so idk what this guy is talking about

  81. M.... E....
