@R Rogers I got "on board" with "praise..." and stayed a while... but left it sometime after "empires":.. I am not a fan of his voice this is why I like the "Praise the fallen" album most there are more effects on the vox there. HOWEVER this song here is quite cool too. I heard them live once in the late 90ties or 2000-2001 or so I guess, was ok. Covenant however better (seen twice)

@Underground Sounds I LOVE Covenant... I met Eskil at a concert in Arizona in May of 2018. I was one of the few chicks gothed up really heavy and he literally (I'm not kidding) searched for me through the entire hotel venue where we were prior to the show after seeing me from backstage, just to say hello.. No idea what I actually said, I was totally not expecting it and being blabby... didn't realize he wasn't there to get a drink in the smaller bar that I was in or whatever (duh, they don't get there own drinks). I didn't get what was going on at all until afterward and my friends said he didn't stop to talk to anyone else, he was on a mission. He talked to me and then went backstage. I can be dense sometimes, but it did serve to remind me of how much I gel with German and Scandinavian men for sure. He has an amazing voice, they both do. Though I'm sorry to hear Ronan's voice is not your cuppa. VNV's Darkangel actually inspired one of my SF/F series I'm writing along with a fantasy painting of Archangel Azriel painted by Ruth Thompson.. it started a whole series in my head almost spontaneously after listening to Darkangel for a week. Anyway... rambling LOL. My other favorite bands are Absurd Minds, Icon of Coil, Suicide Commando (somewhat), I LOVE Jennifer Parkin (Ayria)... there are so many I can't wait to move to Berlin later this year LOL

Some of their old content from their first album wasn't epic. Praise The Fallen had Honour, Solitary, and some songs with less lyrical stimulation. However, Ronin made phenominal songs during Empires and onward.

I'm shocked this is quite recent they sound the same as they did 20 years ago. VNV nation have been out forever.

That's a good thing in my book. Very similar sounding with some polish to their sound. Too many from this genre went wildly in different directions and new/different isn't always better.

London Croydon and parts of Southampton look bloody awful. The future from the point of the song made the uk go right down hill. Why make your entire country look like some armpit of the medway towns? Its like being a foreigner in your own country and that is just sad. Londonstan. The English became anti English towards themselves.

Ja, die Musik von VNV Nation kommt "ausm Kastl". So wie so ziemlich alles was heute ausm Radio dudelt. Es kommt darauf an was man daraus macht. Ein guter Song muß nicht kompliziert sein. Eine gute Melodie, ein treibender Rhytmus, ein Text der zum Nachdenken anregt. Mehr braucht es nicht. Leider schaffen das nur wenige so gut wie Ronan.

My nephew who is in China, after 2 years study comes to a conclusion it is too regimental, maybe a reflection on his background but I recently met an old work colleague who has spent approx 10 years there saying it is a great place. Electronic surveilance and security is playing an increasingly future role. bur we must get this balance right between a paranoia phobia society and a relaxed free lifestyle. The word lifestyle seems to be a key element.and the area environment.

with islamic mass immigration, there is no secure future or relaxed free lifestyle.

No surveillance I am perfectly fine and capable of recounting my actions of the day if so asked . Government needs to operated at a minimum. We govern ourselves 99.99% of the time . Well that’s just my aspect t .
