Check out Kate and Anna McGarrigle's version of this song. It was written by Kate's ex, Loudon Wainwright III. I'll bet that's where Vetiver learned it. I'd never heard of Vetiver before, but if this is typical, I'd like to hear more.

Never mind, they covered it, and Thing Of The Past is all cover songs. Just seems like they were too faithful to the original version, instead of adding their own twist to it.

This is a Loudon Wainwright III song, and the vocals sound like a younger Loudon. If this is really Vetiver in fact, they just copied Loudon.
