Veruca Salt - So Weird Lyrics

Speak
You're speaking words
But all I ever heard
Is white noise from weird boys

Space
You're spacing out
By the way
What's that face about
It's so weird
It's so weird

You don't know me
You don't own me
You're just poassing through my life
You're a stranger
With bad behavior
You're so weird I'm terrified

Back lounge
A chain smoking Charlie Brown
You're busted up
And broken down
So you're so low rent
You're texting vegan sex again
It's so weird
It's so weird

You don't know me
You don't own me
You're just passing through my life
You're a stranger
With bad behavior
You're so weird I'm terrified

Slowly, faintly
Slowly, faintly
Slowly, faintly
Slowly, faintly

You don't know me
You don't own me
You're just passing through my life
You're a stranger
With bad behavior
You're so weird I'm terrified

Came here from the "Rock n' Roll true stories" channel. This sounds incredibly heavy :o wow amazing sound!!!

  2. S.... S....

Wow!  Love this music - REAL rock and roll - just discovered these ladies this week!  This reminds me of the cool bands I saw at the Russell House at the University of South Carolina when I was in art school.  Good times!

  9. Y.... E....

This song is about me...im so fucking weird.

  10. E.... T....

I like this album, but the only weak point of it in my opinion is Louise's cringey voice. She tries too hard to sound angry/distressed but it just ends up over the top. Still not the worst singing I've ever heard, though. Rock on VS \m/

    E.... T....

Wow, thought I was the only one who thought that...

@Ink Pen it's like she needs Nina to sound good. When she left, it broke her. They're like 2 pieces to a perfect painting, they mean nothing when apart. When she came back, Louise started trying to sing again. Louise even said, on quote, "I found my spiritual soulmate in Nina in January of '92..." in their American Thighs tab book, which I bought recently. Probably one of the strongest bonds in the history of rock music.

    E.... T....

+Adrenalized 2000 I completely agree. Also, it feels like Louise has even tried to mimic the sound & style of Nina on certain material after she left. If you listen to her on "All Hail Me", and other songs she performed on during their togetherness she never tried to sing so high, THAT was Nina thing. All through the "Resolver" Album & "IV", she doesn't sound like herself, it's like she was trying to be both Nina & Herself, vocally, and it just wasn't happening. On some stuff she really sounds ridiculous, and even unlistenable.

I'm just glad they're back together, I'm ultra pleased with the new Ghost Notes release, they sound awesome together!

    E.... T....

I love Nina and her voice is obviously better but I didn't like her solo stuff meanwhile the two "VS" albums Louise made without her were still very VS-like

    E.... T....

@Emily Hardy Right, not saying Louise doesn't make some missteps in her singing without Nina, but she still made two decent rock/hard rock albums without Nina. Meanwhile Nina's pure pop stuff without Louise simply didn't appeal to me at all.

Well, duh. Everyone gets the band name who's read a couple of books or taken 9th-grade English.

  22. B.... ....

You're thinking of James Iha, who was the guitarist for Smashing Pumpkins. And where the hell is the Louise/Nina harmony I loved so much about Veruca Salt? Makes me cry.

Louise used to be prettier theb Nina, Then Louise gets fat and Nicole is prettier than Louise... I find that amusing..

    A.... S....

Did you see your own horrible face in the mirror? GTFO here, witch

    A.... S....

I was inlove with Nina but Louise is very sweet and cool. Back in the day when we had myspace she commented on a pic I had up of a dog after I wrote on their myspace that I love them and support them since the beginning

  27. s.... ....

It's funny that several of their albums have been Beatle references, as the post breakup Louise Post & Nina Gordon differences very much remind me of post breakup Lennon/McCartney tunes.. in that one got angrier and harder and the other got even softer and mellower.. not BAD, but it really shows you what the combination of the two brought to the table.

  28. s.... ....

good song, just found it ..haa

  29. k.... ....

FInally! sombody uploaded the studio version.
    thank you so much.
