Such a fun song to play on the drums with the worship team at my church

Bass players forced to cover these boring parts: one tiny adjustment I love on this song is to play the major 3rd (Fb/E) on the 2nd half of the chorus, like "(C) All we want and (G) all we need...........(Fb/E)Jesus every (F) victory....". Maybe at some point I should start a channel b/c I do a lot of way more fun stuff that really spices these songs up and makes me less suicidal as a bass player lol

EDIT: Also idk why I say Fb instead of E but it's how my brain works - I use flat and sharp notation relative to the root - I only think of the literal note name for roots. It just makes it easier for me to keep track I guess. I generally play by interval on all instruments tho.

Live video, not live audio. I get the feeling some worship teams feel they can never hit the mark because most will NEVER sound like this. That said, like the song.

A lot of worship teams (I know of one) have never even heard themselves, because they never record performances. Monitor mixes are not what the audience hears. Even if the quality is bad, recording would help with timing and overplaying issues.

@Peter Connolly Not our ream!   :)    I have heard recordings from the desk and they sound bizarre, more archival than anything.

Our team is pretty good at church! (Harvest Christian Fellowship pastures by Greg Laurie), we write our own songs too, check us out haha (Raymond Gregory has been writing a lot of our stuff lately, although I must say I like the songs he writes for us better live than on the track haha)

Well (this might be a long post, sorry haha) we have a whole team and based on our availability we get scheduled on certain days :) our main worship leaders are Hanz and Raymond though :) We have four services: 9am, 10pm, 12pm, and then the late night service (where sometimes we have guest bands every so often for example like For King and Country or Britt Nicole, Dominic Balli to name a few😊). Then of course there are Wednesday night studies & the morning women's studies and such that we do worship for, as well as the overflow room on Sunday's. This is why even though we have "regular" band members, we stil need a lot of them to supply the need haha. :) I personally am a youth worship leader for the jr high ministry (which there are a few leaders & we all have a schedule of who is playing when same as the other ministries) and I also play on the high school ministry band, and just started serving with the main sanctuary and the women's ministry😊 I play acoustic and sing. It's such a blessing to do what I love for the Lord!!!🙌 Sorry that was long but it's a lot to explain haha

Angela Roberts it's mostly a visual thing. Can you imagine what it would sound like if 10 singers were at the front of the mix?
