My husband played this song for me for the first time a couple of years ago and it touched me so much I started bawling. He passed away in early December after 50 years together. From 1:21 to 2:21 Mr. Morrison really opens up. It's eerie when you listen for it and his soul jumps right out at you right at the very end of the phrase. I would bet in the last week I've listened to this song at least 20 times. Definitely on my list of the 10 best songs of all time. This song makes a person feel good in a wonderful way. To me it's odd because it's contagious- the more you hear it the better you feel!

I listened tonthis song 30 years ago when I was pregnant with my 1st born son David Joseph, they. all call him the red bearded buck Hunter. The 1st love of my life!! 3-7- 1991. Hard to believe I still love this song. &.if he was a girl, he would have been Aubrey Marie.

A guy who I was friends with since I was a teenager passed and in a dream he came to me and gave me a list of songs he wanted me to listen to. We were friends with benefits and respected each others affairs. He drove from Virginia to New Jersey every weekend and stayed at my brothers house where I also stayed we would go out and dance and have a great time. He was a guy who would do anything for me if I asked. Didnt realize he was waiting for me to settle down and be exclusive so he could marry me. The last time I saw him was when I was on my first date with my now exhusband. He passed away in January 2009 I believe I cant remember I hadn't seen him since Dec 2 1985. I felt him die, I called my best friend in New Jersey and told her she had to find John for me. The next day she called me and asked me why i called her because she knew i already knew her died in a car accident in her town a half hour before i called her. Anyway the list of songs made no sense to me they weren't songs we danced to or even listened to together. I played this song for a bit and still didnt get it with a bunch of others on the list. A few songs by Van Morrison were on the list but this is my favorite and I imagine him and I dancing to it. When he wants me to know something is good or he approves of something I hear this song. He called me his gypsy and as I said we were friends with benefits. Recently I met this guy many people wanted to buy my moms rental property but this guy I felt really relaxed with and this song came on I signed the papers. My friend was a building inspector when he died and so i figured it was a sign. Just about every time i seen this guy this song came on. I think my friend was trying to tell me to date him he was really nice but quite a bit younger so i did not. He asked me several times to go to lunch but I simply told him no thank you. He really a great guy who deserves someone great.
