Okay, just to clear this up for a few people commenting on the ! Gravy Rings to Barmbracks " line....Gravy Rings are donuts, Wagon Wheels are chocolate and marshmallow biscuits, Barmbracks are raisin and sultan buns and Snowballs are chocolate and marshmallow 'single cakes' topped with coconut sprinkles
there you go....all the lovely treats we remember as British kids of a certain age.
Wagon wheels are British chocolate confectionary (Van is from Northern Ireland where I am sure he ate them and he is recalling them), not the wheels of wagons as the video suggests. They look like this these days, although the packaging may have changed a little since Van's days in Northern Ireland. BTW I ate Wagon Wheels as a kid, they were a fun treat back then!
I may buy some more just to bring back the memories, the sense of wonder of a child if you will!

BTW Sorry to spread possible confusion, but snowballs are also a slightly alcoholic Christmas drink drunk around Christmas, it a yellow drink (advocaat and lemonade I believe they might be might be called in the USA). Kids can drink it as their first slightly alcoholic drink. So he could mean those or he could just mean snowballs actually made of snow, I am not sure!!
