I wanted to see them live again as they're coming to my hometown next autumn. After listening to this album I made my decision: I won't. Vampire Weekend has made another record that doesn't quite capture the energy of the first one. Like all its predecessors, FOTB has great singles but very unmemorable and sounding alike songs. It's nice to hear or have as background music while cleaning the house. Definitely not worth a gig ticket.

"We go together like Keats and Yeats" is such a genius line...also "don't be opaque, it's CLEAR we go together..." so clever!

This track is one of my favorites on FOTB. Surely enough look in the credits and Rostam co-wrote, produced, engineered, and mixed it. There’s my answer.

2021 and Flower Moon are literally the only bad songs on this album.

Kinda makes sense that this one’s so good though. Rostam’s silly bleep-bloop stuff dragged down the first albums. I still love them, but FOTB is just another level of amazing.

Rostam worked on Harmony Hall and this, but no others on FOTB. This track in particular he is completely in control of.

Maybe that’s what makes this song sound so classic. Very strong Modern Vampires of the City sound, particularly Don’t Lie or Ya Hey.

Go listen to the song "Fish and Whistle" by John Prine and tell me VW didn't steal the chorus of that song for this one.

Vampire Weekend really nailed this whole new album. I think it’s their best yet!

To this album is very mediocre due to the fact that the songs don’t transition well this albums definitely there worst

@Oliver Laxson it isn't about transitioning. It can be nice sometimes, but this album has such good music and it's all different. All the songs are different but still enjoyable. Not every song sounds like this, or 2021, or Harmony Hall, but they still clearly belong on the same album. I can't disagree with you more, but I respect your opinion.
