    WOW WOW WOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
From a mad keen 76yo Aussie fan.
    GOD--They were BLOODY INCREDIBLE.

  2. R.... E....

    Killa album

  3. b.... ....

    I hope Frodo succeeds

Dave Mason just couldn’t stay in Traffic for too long. This is from his first solo album, Alone Together, which had a unique and cool album cover. Most or the songs there were excellent. Under appreciated, great guitarist. Does killer cover of Watchtower, some say better than Jimi.

  5. A.... T....

uma das musicas que fizeram minha vida valer a pena...linda demais

  6. T.... ....

Lips that are warm could be
    Lips that speak too soon
    Lips that tell a story
As sad and deep as you

Smile that's warm as summer sun
    Smile that gets you through
    Smile that tells a story
As sad and deep as you

The eyes that are the windows
The eyes that are the view
The eyes that tell a story
As sad and deep as you

The tears that are unspoken words
The tears that are the truth
The tears that tell a story
As sad and deep as you

This tune shows Dave Mason’s talent in full bloom. In and out of Traffic, playing with others, this tune from Alone Together, his first solo release never received the accolades it deserved. Great version Dave.

  8. L.... 1....

Had the LP back in the day. Love it every bit as much now. Great bunch of artists.

  9. S.... D....

Sounds like something Led Zeppelin could've done, like the very relaxing tone of the song, Dave's voice is perfect 🤘

  10. s.... ....

This is in standard open E tuning. Dave Mason plays it in Eb sometimes.

  11. R.... S....

Really ,one of the best ever bands! Whatever the ego's involved. This demonstrates their love and ability to create and play, such awfully good music....sometimes i wish time could stand still and keep me in that beautiful place.Older, wiser but still entranced.Listen to Traffic so often....for the sheer ability and musicality...I'm so glad(sic)i was around at that time.tk

  23. R.... C....

I'm foreigner...could somebody please write the words of this beautiful song so I'll be able to traslate it'? Thanks...

    R.... C....

@JOAN CASSOLA MATAS you just have to write a title of a song + lyrics in google & you'll find the words ..so here:"Lips that are as warm could beLips that speak too soonLips that tell a storySad and deep as youSmile that's warm as summer sunSmile that gets you throughSmile that tells a storySad and deep as youEyes that are the windowsEyes that are the viewEyes that tell a storySad and deep as youTears that are unspoked wordsTears that are the truthTears that tell a storySad and deep as you"

Must admit that though I prefer Traffic after their reunion in 1970, Dave Mason wrote some really great songs for them

  25. M.... T....

I saw them in January 1973. They were fantastic and one of the best live bands I've ever seen. I've always loved this song.

  26. B.... L....

What a shame Steve didn't play piano on this song; I wonder why he didn't?  Chris' flute plus the bongos are a great addition, but the studio version w/ Leon Russell on piano is so sublime; my all time favorite ballad!

    B.... L....

+Bill Larstead studio version is John Simon on piano on this track

  27. m.... p....

for got what a great song this is....

  28. B.... E....

Still can bring a tear to my eyes even after all these years.

  29. T.... G....

chris Wood flute makes it,,I like the piano version also

  30. A.... M....

Album de cabecera, de lo mejorcito.

  31. R.... H....

Love Traffic with or without Dave Mason. Good sounding guitar he has!

  32. M.... ....

I've been a fan of Dave Mason since the 70's and this song is a good example of why that is. I've never heard this version before today and I really like it although I could do without the flute. In my opinion, it takes away from this incredible vocal performance and the acoustic guitar, which I'm assuming is being played by Mr. Mason himself. What a beautiful voice he has. So very soothing to the soul.

  33. o.... ....

got this on vinyl, great record

  34. L.... ....

Funny enough, this IS credited to Traffic on re-issues of the album... the album didnt sell well enough at first since there was no band name attached. I have 2 copies of the LP - one the regular issue, credited just to the artists, and the other is a pre-release promo -the record itself is credited to the individual artists and to "Traffic, Etc". but the cover just lists the artists. Later pressings credited "Traffic" on the cover. it is SUCH a great album... one of my favorites, definitely.

  35. S.... V....

God it's really my favorite track..makes me cry and smile in the same time...

  36. A.... M....

Nada mejor para relajar al final del dia...

  37. A.... G....

Still have this vinyl album and the CD. Haven't listened to it in years.

  38. D.... G....

Had this LP, love does days

  40. M.... ....

the best traffic of ever - Steve`s wheels were running was really good

  41. T.... M....

@Rockstaralan Thanks for the info. I remember wrong, maybe because i was 1 (or 3?).

  42. A.... E....

You have the year wrong on this. It was 1971 when this came out. You must remember that, in 1969, Traffic were all but defunct, as Winwood was busy for most of that year with Blind Faith. Traffic wouldn't resume until the next year, with "John Barleycorn Must Die", followed by the live album, for which they were briefly rejoined by Dave Mason, who also had his own busy solo career up to then. He left again shortly after this album's release, and resumed the solo career.
