Scarlet's Walk has a special place because I got it right after 9/11. Living outside DC and so much sadness and chaos in the area. The Pentagon on 9/11, anthrax in the post office and the snipers in my area. Something so beautiful as Gold Dust pulled me out of my complete sadness and darkness and got me through an emotional and difficult time. The power of music is astounding.

I agree she was inspired with Scarlett's Walk. I think that was one of the last truly inspired albums. The more recent are inspired but are just not accessible to many people. The themes are just too difficult to connect too.

in my opinion, she is still drop dead gorgeous.

In a year of 2000, I started to draw with golden dust - as a painting color -- on black ground. Of course, idea for this founded me till I was listen Tori Amos. Then, I hadn't on my mind that she will make this song. It would be biggest honour for me, to draw her golden portrait.

Graet song... Scarlet's Walk album is a MASTERPIECE!

I agree about Scarlet's Walk! I never understood how so many fans frowned upon that album. When it was first released I was about to drive from NJ to FL by myself and I brought it to listen to on the way. It didn't come out of my CD player for the entire trip down or the trip back. Now it is my "road trip CD" that MUST get played at least once when we are road tripping. Scarlet's Walk is now part of my DNA. And I cannot listen to Gold Dust without sobbing. It's impossible.

Wow. I wrote some of the lyrics on my bedroom wall at about 13 years old. The lyrics were in a teen vogue magazine. Today I decided to google the words just to find that it is a song. I used to love Tori Amos idk how I missed this song.
