Found this beautiful, innocent, sweet song today while channel surfing!  Really put me in the mood for summer---and romance (lol).  It's a "feel good" song!  Wish there were songs like that recorded today!

I always liked the photos of Joyce, Telma  and Tony. They were always holding hands or holding on to each other. Looked like there was a lot of love for each other. I love the song Summer Sand, they just don't make music like this anymore.

even before i discovered diamond and neil's music hooked me for life -tony and dawn was speaking to this lovestruck and usually love sick kid lol

evoked a deep love of early dawn ..before dawn actually existed ..i know you know the story .candida -this one --two of my favorites ,though i loved all their early stuff .thanks for writing this.

The part in the chorus where Tony sings " like this warm soft bed of summer sand" is just about note for note similar to a TV commercial jingle from I believe the 80's.Just can't think of the product right now but I think it was some kind of snack food.

Hard to believe this song is more than 40 years old! It really takes me back...always one of my favorites of theirs but it wasn't one of their biggest. I really enjoyed the video, thank you for this!

One of my favorite Dawn tunes. I see that the writer, L Russel Brown made a comment about it a few months ago. You and Irwin Levine were great writers. Thanks for all those fantastic memories of growing up in the 70's. That music was the best!!

I saw Tony Orlando and Dawn in March 1976 at the Carolina Coliseum in Columbia, SC. The show was delayed due to an ankle injury to Joyce. Her ankle was taped up and she was toted out and placed on a stool, where she remained for the entire concert. Despite this, it was still a good show.

This song and "What Are you Doing Sunday?" are great songs. It's sort of strange that they stalled on the charts. They were very similar to "Candida" and "Knock Three Times", and IMO should have been as big as those two songs were

There are times I wish I could have those innocent days back.

think they where touring UK at the time of this release so it never got the proper push but its one of my favs from the early days. it did make #7 on the AC CHARTS

Great song from Tony Orlando. Still remember this song. The arrangement far greater than Candids & Knock 3 times -their first major hits. But love all of them.
