I HAVE OWNED THIS VHS TO WATCH AT MY CHEST ALWAYS . I SALUTE TOM WAITS FOR HIS LOCAL SHOWS GROWING UP IN THE AREA (L.A. , NOT SEATLE) . I LOVE & MISS All the kids in this film and i love this song till i' m gone too. they are my age and i respect the people who don't get the breaks ! SALUTE!

I saw "Streetwise" with my girlfriend at the theater when I was 18. Never got this song, or the kids in the movie, out of my heart/head ever since. Sad, bittersweet...I don't know what to say.

A prayerful song of the heart,,,,Every soul that longs for their children spiritually and every other way, prays this prayer......Love the voice of Tom and the message......The music reminds me a bit of a Salvation army band, and his singing a bit on the negro spiritual side!

This reminds me of Salvation Army bands I used to see on a downtown street corner when I was a little kid.

Beulah Land is a term used in the Bible to describe Israel when they were in God 's good graces. It means Married Land, as in married to God.
