Its funny how a song can remind remind us of things, I was watching "ER" fathers and sons and the song being played reminded me of a song in keeping the faith so I figured the artist was the same one. Choosing a favourite Tom Waits song is like choosing your favourite son or daughter. Impossible, but this has to be right up there with Kentucky Avenue, Foreign Affair, On the Nickel, Invitation to the Blues and Tom Trauberts Blues. Actually, second thoughts - THIS is the best! Sometimes when brilliant singer/songwriters get together with brilliant arranger/producers, magic happens. It happened here.
