Thos man was a true talent in the music industry

This might very well be their best album. We lost him two years ago today., Damn!

He apparently wasn't at all happy with this album. The Zanes biography points to this being the worst of his heroin phase. Still writing and pulling off great songs when he was feeling the horror of it all. I admire Tom Petty immensely. He had a very rough life in many ways, but gave us so much inspirational & uplifting music regardless.

Love the whole unique comprehensive sound of the Echo album His voice blends so well with the music The Heartbreakers really came through on this one It feels like a theme album of loneliness and struggle and victory All the songs match together like a cohesive unit His voice is unparralled

He had so many underrated songs. Such a damn good writer. Still tough to accept that he is gone.

It's just so damn good.

People should start suggesting more tom petty for people to react to. Such as this song. But theres so many great songs with Tom so its hard to choose.

The guitar fills on this song = perfection.

I thought this album was SOOOOO overlooked! One of my favs, along with the '85 Wiltern show (my first year seeing TP as a freshman in college) captured for Pack Up the Plantation. RIP Tom.... Them Indiana summer nights are now going to be even longer...the waiting was always the hardest part for you to come back to The Creek every year or two or three but you always made it a point to hit us up and even write a song that will live in lore in the heartland! Peace and Luv Brother.

Jack Straw I agree! My mom is the biggest Tom Petty fan I know and she flat out didn't like this album. I like it front to back. Not third best but definitely a great sound and obviously great lyrics.
