This is by far one of my favorite TPHB albums and I could not wait to get this the day it was released. The writing is SO bold, but every word is very true, from the very start of the album to the finish. It covered so many areas of American society that Tom personally disliked. It also covered issues that he just could not stand to see happening in this world, and country he lived in...so he did what he knew to do about it...write & create. Every song on this album is in one, or more of my playlists...and will be forever. Tom, and his time on this planet was a gift to the world, & I am very glad to have received that gift. The type of gifts he left behind are among some of the best gifts a person can even leave behind, because they will live forever!

Agree. Every time there is another mass shooter I think of "When a Kid Goes Bad."

I really like this song

This album was kind of Tom's "The Wall". And "The Wall" had a LOT of meaning to Tommy because it stood at #1 on the Billboard charts for like forever, while "Damn The Torpedos" stayed at #2. Tommy finally did it! <3

Some of the songs from Last DJ remind me of that too, especially "Joe" & this one... This song also reminds me of the Beatles a lot. All great stuff obviously & then combine with TP & the Heartbreakers & you get sheer perfection!!!

No doubt - I just wonder all these great melody lines, what the % split between Campbell & TP was. Have read TP wrote all the lyrics but music-wise ...
