RIP Tom Petty, I paid for tickets to see you in Maryland at the then Capital Center, back in the 80's but you cancelled due to a sore throat.  Bummer, never did get to see you.  You have been and still are my best musician ever for many, many years, even still today.  You got me through many things in life, up and down.  Hope you are with God in Heaven.  Amen.

I lost my mom, my nephew, and one of my best friends just before Tom Petty passed. That was a bad couple of months. The funny thing is, is that I didn't cry till Tom died. I have no idea why.

Wow so i heard this song back in 2006 for the first time and didnt know who played it or the name of the song, only memorized the melody of the chorus but never heared it again or was able to find it on youtube or by asking people. Yesterday while i was at a Tom petty tribute band concert they played it and it was a trip. Its incredible how over a decade passed till i heard it again and figured who played it. Never imagined it would be Tom petty!

Stan Lynch... One of America's VERY under-rated drummers. His attitude hurt him, & he never liked the LA scene (I mean, can ya blame him?). But Stan was a superb drummer and it hurt the band when he left. I'd say the same thing about Ron too.
