Thrills, The - Big Sur Lyrics

Even in 2019, every time I hear the word "City", I sing "SO MUCH FOR THE CITY."

Most of the Thrills' songs are a mess, especially in terms of lyrics, but somehow they made it work. They could write a song about downtown Detroit and it would still manage to be breezy and feel-good, and I don't necessarily mean that in a negative way. Sometimes we need music that just makes us happy. I still pull out this album at least once a year and enjoy it all over again.

It has taken me 16 years to find The Thrills with Big Sur. Heard it on mtv back in 2003.. but I didn't caught the name. After much search I finally can listen to these sweet tones again! :D

Ha! Same here! All I could remember is it had a 60s vibe and in the video they were walking on a beach. Today it randomly popped up on my Spotify after all these years.

This song is difficult to find if you don't know the title or band i typed dododododododo or so much for the city no results I used shazam on my phone and held it next to Alexa as my brother put on BBC Radio 2 and the info came up in a few seconds.

Went through Big Sur in 2009 on a tour of California , absolutely loved it there !! It was the best holiday me and my family have ever had !!!

2003 memories

This record is brilliant. It has those irresistible Beach Boys California melodies and harmonies, with that Celtic twang. Surely a recipe for nostalgia anytime I listen to this, while driving in the town where I was born and raised, San Diego.
