Thrice Silhouette Comments
😎🤘🏼🎸
I think i like Thrice more than Tool..
Thrice was the perfect bridge from punk into metal.
Very last line
SUCK. MY. BALLS.
still here
2019 still fucking love these guys
Its 2019 and i still jam this song like its the first time im hearing it! This is sooo good!
Your eyes followed me here
Your eyes seamless and sure
The leave me broken and in need of a cure
Your eyes followed me hear
Your eyes sifting my soul
They leave me broken hands, those diamonds
They lace me along
Giving synapse of white lines
Then chasing the dawn
Story book syntax
Your eyes slit the throat of all I know
About myself and this life
Silhouette lies
And your eyes speaking in tongues
Vigilant still filling my lungs
Testing my will
They leave me broken and bruised and bleeding
Your eyes resting in flame
Leaving me breathless again
Like hydrogen speak on fault lines
Or dead, kissing me with exposure to radon
Your eyes slit the throat of all I know
About myself and this life
Silhouette lies
Your eyes, your eyes
Speaking in tongues
Vigilant still, lead our way
Filling my lungs
Testing my will
You slit the throat, of all I know
About myself and this life
Silhouette lies
You slit my throat
Because I know
That this life is a lie
So slit my throat
This one song this solitary song keys so many emotions within me. When the weight of the world hits me I turn to this song.
Who's listening to this in 2018
The way I see it, Thrice sort of fell into the same arc that Linkin Park did with their fans
Identity Crisis was the first EP (iffy comparison but whatever)
The Illusion of Safety was Hyrbid Theory
The Artist In The Ambulance was Meteora
Vheissu was Minutes To Midnight
And everything beyond that is "the new Thrice" just like how everything after MTM was "the new Linkin Park". The difference, however, is that Thrice continued to be a great and impressive band while Linkin Park struggled to put out anything worth listening to up until the very end
Best fills ... @ 2:15
I’ve always thought this band was underrated.
Ur not wrong
Was literally going to type that they may be better than Tool.
They are
My HS sweetheart song
NOW THIS IS THE ORIGINAL THRICE!!!!!!!
In my opinion this is the BEST THRICE song by far!!!!!! GETs me super pumped every time i hear it!$!$!$!
Listen to the first 15 seconds of each of these songs in this order.
Silhouette - Thrice
With the Wolves - The Ghost Inside
Broken - Falling In Reverse
All 3 good songs, but it rips off in the worst way possible. You'll get a good laugh.
The golden age for this music. Early 2000's Beloved, Norma Jean, Dead Poetic, The Used, Finch, Senses Fail, Thursday, Underoath, Haste the Day, Atreyu, Avenged Sevenfold, Between the Buried and Me and that debut from My Chemical Romance I brought you my bullets ..those were the days.
It dies today, still remains
Scary Kids Scaring Kids and Our Last Night.
Norma Jean I know for one is still putting out music, and they have a Deftones sort of vibe to them now, its cool.
Dead Poetic, Senses Fail, Thursday. Omg I was right there with you!
HOnestly my first rock concert was Coheed opening an acoustic set for Thrice and Thursday.
Fucking spoiled!
Yes!!!! Thrice, Norma Jean, and finch!!!!
suena muy igual a Papa Roach en el disco Lovehatetragedy
this album and toxicity by s.o.d have some of my favorite open C bass tones. the timbre is good. still listening
Campaign!
love these guys =)
i would consider the alchemy index one album as its all a part of the same idea so this new album is their eight
This guy should scream more XD
Check out The illusion of safety.
He is not screaming more on illusion of safety, he was always known for his cleans. Plus illusion of safety is pop punk-ish as fuck
@Dominik Hanuš He screams quite a bit on that album. And. Theres a ton of heavier songs on that album.
@Jaime Reyes so it is probably just me, in my eyes illusion of safety is not heavy in any way, mainly because it is the most immature thrice album, than because it has bright "pop punk-ish" riffs somewhere, but mainly because dustin sounds really young and he has really high pitch, i just overall like that less than any of his other vocal works, even ,,identity crisis"
Gavin Lorenz you should check out dustins debut solo album.
yeeeeaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
NEW THRICE ALBUM 2016!
really!? I'm so pumped!
Omg awesome!!!
+Groucho Marx Seriously? Now I'm googling it :) !!!!
Legit!!!!

Perfect song for my dark alter ego. >;)
this is my favorite song!!!!😝😝😝😝😝
1:05 7/4 breakdown. Hits your nuts hard
2 years later commenting, I have a question, and I play guitar and make music so I sound stupid asking this, do you mean 7/4 as the beat? like instead of 8 ticks of a metronome its only 7?
Michael Deev I believe he meant that way but it's in 4/4 actually...
Its not in 4/4 count 3 then 4 its 7/4 with a 6 count to round off
@Bálint Sloboda 7/4?
@dragonayr22 you are right. Excuse my lack of knowledge.
Washing machine
I'm gonna try and pretend TGI didn't mimic this... But I still love both songs.
Ben Cobb
Listen to the first 15 seconds of each of these songs in this order.
Silhouette - Thrice
With the Wolves - The Ghost Inside
Broken - Falling In Reverse
It rips off in the worst way possible, but you'll get a good laugh.
Intervals - Ephimeral
what about it
What does that even have to do with this song
Artist in the ambulance will always be my favorite thrice album, so much nostalgia in this shit. I use to listen to this song before my motocross races, shit just got my pumped
@jay hundley That's how Illusion of Safety is for me - except before playing baseball.
Were you drinking rockstars and wearing trucker hats while doing all this? Haha jk
Greatest album until the day I die. Taught me all I needed to know spiritually in this life.
the ghost inside brought me here..
Haha same
+michael devivo sad for you then lol
+michael devivo wat
michael devivo dude same here!!!!!!! Hahaha
michael welcome to the OG
Their first demo and debut release album "identity Crisis"( released April 2000) is one of the best albums ever, I can listen to whole thing begining to end, super heavy and gets your adrenaline pumping......Did 165MPH I'm a Built 450hp 00 Mustang on highway listening to "Phoenix Ignition"......can't help but rock to that CD.
@Matthew Caruncho WOW! 165MPH, that's straight up take your ass to jail speed lol.
This is a rip off of The Ghost Inside.
hahahahahhah noooooob!!
the youth of today has no idea about music
KosyKruptioN sadly :(
Matt Guajardo you are about 15 years too late for the release of this song and about 5 years later with The Ghost Insides first album release to this songs release...Silhouette was release in 03' The Ghost Insides first album was released in 08'....get your facts right first before you post bullshit
are you retarded
This shit slams!
This song sound's like The end of heartache from resident evil apocalypse, Go head listen to this song
The end of heartache <---------------------------
If you paid attention, you would see that he said this song is older than killswitches end of heartache, you fucking absolute moron. "it dose" lmfao idiot
I wrote this when i was 12 SUCK MAH DICK.
I like Both songs i don't give one Shit which one was made first.
It has a similar progression in the beginning, but that doesn't mean KS copied Thrice. It's a common progression in hardcore and metalcore.
Teppei had some influence from KSE on this album so I'm not surprised.
I'd hope you aren't still as clueless now at seventeen or whatever you are but I won't hold my breath. I'm only joking of course. Peace be with you nevertheless. 🤘✌️
This song is just...perfectly composed and the lyrics are remarkable. Ahhhh sweet perfection ^.^
that bass tone
He never got enough credit, dude made their shit sound so good
Your eyes followed me here... :)
I sing this in class all the time
This song with some nice subs is AHHHHHHmazing. One of my favorite songs hands down

You have a extremely smart guitar teacher.
I just discovered Thrice recently. Good band. Different from the metal I usually listen to (Slayer, Brujeria, etc) but I am definetely happy that I found out about them...
Amen, Thrice.
Yeah it's that intro. I've seen them twice and I have a tattoo that says Due for a miracle with the red + sign on the cover of artist in the ambulance. They are simply AMAZING live. Deadbolts is the other one that I see gets the crowd going!!
My guitar teacher was telling me about how and why he doesn't listen to the radio and he told me i should check out this band and I'll never regret it.
the only little derp is you kid thinking you know something..and being presumptuous.......starting arguments and then insinuating that i stared it......you act like a child that you are and the think people are gonna listen to your op.......your one of these so-called fans who jumped on the bus way too late!!!!!! you got into thrice through their derp music aimed at derps like you.....now you can cry like a derp again while listening to your whiney pop music
Maybe if you derp less, you'll realize how bad your argument is.
If not, by all means, deeeeeerrrrppp mooooaaar
lmao you dont know fuck all you jumped up little shit you was probably playing with your dolls and watching pokemon when i was listening to thrice
O.o you just called Thrice lazy shitty music. They aren't topping charts, and they've been writing incredible songs. Instead of bashing a band because you don't like the genre, why not actually listen to the music?
If you're telling me Of Dust and Nations is a bad song, you can't really be a Thrice fan.
As someone who into Thrice via Major/Minor, I can't say it's their worst album. It's probably the most generic of their catalogue, but the songwriting on it is still great. I see the album is a redemption-themed album. I think most fans like Vheissu and Artist the most, and I personally think Vheissu is their best work.
There is just something about this song. This recording doesn't even do it justice, when they play it live it is so much heavier.
i like many types of music so nope i know what i think and i know that it sounds like shitty chart music if thats your taste o well... but to me it sounds like kings of leon to U2 and other shite im not bothered at all about! crappy pop music this isnt why ppl fell in love with their music most ppl here apparently love this major/ miner and if they have 98% more talent than anyone else thats says a lot and why i dont agree to the views of others its lazy shitty music to be sold to vegtables
I agree that their first three albums were great but you must not have much appreciation for different types of music if you can't see the genius of their later albums. Alchemy and Vheissu were both really good in my opinion, Beggars was ok, Major/Minor was probably their worst effort, that is, if you can really describe a Thrice album with the word "worst" which you really can't because these guys have more talent than about 98% of any other artist in the music industry today.
Irvine?
their terrible dont talk wet............beggers is chart music........chart music sucks....you cant say it doesnt sound like generic crap anybody can knock together shit like that............. artist identity and illusion are the best .........these i can put on and listen to all way through back to back.............you cant with the other albums...........doesnt even seem like the same guys its crap..........REALLY CRAP....whiny nonsence..
cry about. Alchemy and Vheissu are amazing beggrs and major minor are not that good.
Your eyes, sifting my soul... <3
you certenly do pal lol........im sure these arnt real fans!!!
Finally, someone who agrees. You have to throw in their cover of Elanor Rigby too.
lol funny just get identity crisis........illusion of safty .......and ...artist in the ambulance all the rest is lame and thats from a fan of 10 years or so
TestTheAcid then your not a fan. They have plenty of dope songs
i saw em a couple of years ago and they sucked!!! i took my mate and i was so dissapointed iv been a fan for a decade and still love them but that was awful really bad to see that from my fav band...... it was like watching a champion boxer still trying to hold his own when he is years off his prime.........it was real ugly
AudioBakery is playing with them on their farewell tour tomorrow!
I've been listening to them for 12 years and I just went to their last tour ever. Sorry you missed the party but feel free to explore their entire discography, which contains some truly brilliant pieces.
Badass song
First song of theirs I have heard, and I must say.
HOLY FUCK, WHY DID I NOT KNOW OF THEM BEFORE?
true story bro
Hey Thrice fans!!!! WHOS READY FOR THIS FAREWELL TOUR?!?!? SO SAD THAT THERE TAKING A HIATUS.... CHECK OUT OUR COVER WE DID TO THIS SONG AT OUR SHOW A WHILE AGO!!! We are HUGE Thrice fans and will continue to jam and idolize there music in there honor! Let us know what you think :) -ABOLITION FORMULA
The only problem I have with Thrice is that their songs are too short.
was it at taste of chaos?
good ol High School days! I feel sorry for you kids now and all the shitty music you're exposed to!
@Eatazombie i watched them in myrtle beach with rise against and alkaline trio in prolly 09 and they didnt play it i was sooooo fuckin pissed!
@JazzProgBoss epic childhood
These are real SLAPS.
my best friend told me her grandmother knows the lead singer of thrice's mom. random bit of information. i've never met any of them. hahaha. they're awesome though. definitely an awesome song!
@gorgeouschiik indeed !
Your eyes slit the throat, of all I know.
About myself in this life.
This silhouette lie.
Your eyes, Your eyes.
Speaking in tongues.
Vigilant still, lead our way.
Filling my lungs.
Testing my will.
@Likemothstoflame Nah Melbourne Australia..... a friend gave me the poster for it for my bday..... now that i think about i think it was my ex 0_o
@gorgeouschiik Your not wrong there!!!!!!!!!
They sound exactly like this live.
@Mon5terMash0
Nah.
I remember when Thrice was just getting started, playing at house of blues and other local spots, from my home town I knew they had talent from the beginning regardless of whether how many people like them or not. Their sound, their lyrics, their energy is just irreplaceable. Loved it back then and Love it even more<3
how is this song so godlike?
@redworld13 oh my fucking god......i would have shit my fucking pants cause it would have been too much awesomeness going on that my bowels would have let loose everywhere....wow
EPIC!!!!
@Connorpei Yes it does. Ray plays with a ton of power, and is much more technical. David did have a lot of cool ideas though. Just something about David never clicked with me.
@punk9999643 No one can replace david. Ray's style just doesn't fit at all
songs that rip
