Ten Years After - Standing At The Station Lyrics

Well, I'm standin' at the station
And the rain don't make a sound
Got a Bible in my pocket
Cause my plane was just shot down
My mind is all confusion
I believe I'm in a play
Throw my Bible out the window
As the train goes on it's way

Gonna leave my blues behind me
Gonna find another town
Gonna try and find some people
Who this time won't bring me down
As I step out of the carriage
The station looks the same
As the one I left behind me
Though it has another name

Ssssh and this album are TYA's best records to my ears.

  2. amber schomaker

    good job

  3. Paul van Schaik

Anyone can try to outmatch this but no one will succeed. No one! Perfection is hard to find. This is perfection! Here it is!

  4. Edward Takeaction Gba

No one can ever do better !!!

  5. William Nelson

I still have the original vinyl of all the first releases of tya and black sabbath and the all time greatest band that ever rocked a concert hall...the who. Bought them when I was a kid in the sixties and 70s ...also him I Hendrix and grand funk. This all great music at the time.....what these younger kids are listening today is mostly pure shit.

Up until 3:46 all other instruments build up a Platform, for a Phenomenal Duel " Bass and Lead Guitar " Solo !
" The Instrumentational Work IS Phenomenal " !!
Few musicians or groups have ever come close to this kind of perfection !!! " IT Is a Classic " !!!
Unfortunately the main stream music media today, feeds us That which ( by comparison ) is at best Mediocre !!
This song was originally released in / ? 1968 .

This album got virtually no air time here in South Florida when it was released in 1972. I found just one bar that had Choo Choo Mama on the jukebox, The Rusty Nail on Peters Rd. in Plantation, Florida.

    Joe Justjoe

I wore this album out. We were lucky enough to have a local college radio station that would broadcast bands like 10 years after...upon request. Choo Choo mama made me buy this album. Alvin is at his best from the 4:00 mark on in this song. I come back to this song often.

    REMMY MAFIA

Love this album. TYA was always under appreciated. Sure, they put themselves on some people's radar's after Woodstock-'A Space In Time' and this, back to back cemented them as legit. Cricklewwod and Sssh have their own unique appeal without a doubt. Their double live album is dynamite.

    So underrated
