Ten Years After - 50,000 Miles Beneath My Brain Lyrics

I want to know you
I want to show you
I want to grow you
Inside of me
I want to see you
I want to free you
I want to be you
Inside of me

Love me 50,000 miles beneath my brain
Love me 50,000 times and then again

Can you love me with a thousand eyes?
Can you see right through my bones?
Can you kiss me with a thousand lips?
Can you melt a solid stone?
Can you hear me from a thousand miles
When you're screaming at the stars?
Can you pull me up to Jupiter
When I'm all hung up on Mars?
Burn my eyes with your flame
Let your world spin free
Let it go, baby
I'll do the same
All depends on me
Let it go
It's all the same
What with jewels that you can't see
Love me, love me, love me, love me, love me, babe
Bring it on home to me
I want to fuse my soul to yours
Come on baby come on back to me
Ooo.. now I got some love for you my friend
I got some love for you just put your arms around one time and see

Bass playing. What. I always listen to him in this. And lots of stuff. I’m an Alvin Lee freak. But the band!

  24. N.... T....

Rock, science fiction, and the blues. Sweetness, pure sweetness

  25. T.... S....

I bought this album when it first came out, friend had it on 8 track and I had to have it. Back then $3 was a lot of money, especially when your 15. I just was telling my wife about Alvin Lee and she couldn't remember, so I just put this on and brought back old memories. Now I got to listen the whole album cause I remember there being songs I liked even better than this. Alvin Lee    RIP

    T.... S....

    Love Like A Man .....

  26. M.... A....

If you are not orbiting around Jupiter while listening to this song check you senses

As a Pink Floyd fanatic, this song is the best ever written in the history of music. Six months passed, 50 thousand times and gain still get the goosebumps.

  31. K.... P....

Took this album from my younger sister back in the early 70's. Played it to death. Definitely one of my favourite albums of that time.

  32. C.... S....

Great track, Played it alot when I was out on the road with my band in 2010

  33. n.... H....

strong sounds of sympathy for the devil in there

    n.... H....

    ABSOLUTELY!!

  34. k.... c....

there is a misguided idea that many lyrics have some deep meaning- they do NOT- the melody tracks are first- then words are strung together to fit the stanzas (if you don,t believe a rhyming dictionary is sometimes employed, think again) if it was about ,meaning< there are tons of awesome poems out there but they are not put to music!! it takes the most time to grind out melody, bridge, etc. it was indeed inspired by a tangible thought/idea but the music takes on a life of it,s own!!

    k.... c....

    Well said!!

  35. m.... ....

    ALVIN LEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.

    2.... F....

There is plenty of great music today the olny problem is the amount of shit you must sift through to find the good

  45. M.... A....

Last song addictive I found was over 6 years ago. Mudcrutch cover of “the lover of the bayou “. Yes I know it it is for the byrds. This song so so deep and the music is rich and extremely complex.

This incredible piece of rock history was used or featured in a Mel Gibson movie. It was a chase scene and Mel was apparently involved in a bank heist or something. Anyone know what movie it was? It's killing me not knowing

    R.... O....

    Get the Gringo

  51. B.... N....

This song has a special place in my heart. 1st time I made love to my soon to be wife this was playing on the radio. Try it, you'll like it. Just not with my wife that is.

    B.... N....

on the radio? it couldn't have been AM-had to be FM, and they were probably playing the album in full. That's what was great with late night FM, they'd debut an album and/or play any album in full-it really facilitated people being able to hear all the other songs, besides the one or two that might be released as a single. And TYA was not a singles releasing band, so this method by FM stations, was even that much more valuable to the likes of listeners like myself.

  52. S.... K....

Cricklewood Green is one of the best albums ever produced.  It has rock and even the blues.  Alvin Lee was one of the best guatarists that ever was...this song is a killer  just listen to the bass line!

  61. J.... D....

    BLUES ON LSD

    J.... D....

and damn good blues at that... Alvin Lee !!!!

    J.... D....

Original psychedelic was really first called Acid Rock and it was mostly based on blues. Cream did this and it was almost all instrumental. But the defining element of Acid or Psychedelic Rock was to produce an unusual sonic trick that affected the listeners senses. Something as simple as how The Yardbirds would shout "Hey" out of time or a phase sifter, fuzz box, or wa, wa pedal, alone or in combination. But both Cream and Alvin Lee also relied on the jazz notion of extending instrumental wandering, and Cream really began this trend. If you ever listen to LZ's Bron-Y-Aur with headphones, you'll see how Page made it so special by doing his favorite trick of moving the tracts around from left to right. All this is great for the attentive listener who wants an experience when listening to music.

    J.... D....
