Bought the original Miracles single in '60 when Miracles, Smokey, Tamla, and Motown were essentially never heard of. Smokey was on my payroll for years.
Is that right? What kind work did Smokey do before he hit the big time in music? He's one the most celebrated songwriters of all time.
I meant I was spending money on them for all their singles.

Smokey wrote majority of music lyrics at Motown. The man's a poet and do know it. He should've gotten more credit than anyone at Motown.
