I see your point, I think between Psychedelic Shack and Truly For You, the albums in between didn't appeal to people who weren't Tempts fans. Plus Ali Ollie's integration gave them a whole new different sound.

This tune takes me back to my late teens. Wow! The slow grinding in the club was so sensual. Back in the day when folks dressed up to go out, men held out their hands to help you up from your seat after you'd accepted their invitation to dance, and then held you snugly in their arms while you both anticipated what would be happening later on that night. Good times.

An underrated album and single. Ron and Ali-Ollie had excellent chemistry! This song should have been a bigger hit.

@cookchem I remember looking for this album 4 years after it came out. I was originally going to buy the tape but when i saw the album i grabbed it quickly and I fell in love with this song. it has a nice Soul/Reggae feel and it should have been a bigger hit. With Ali and Ron singing lead

@MUSICENCYLOPEDIA -I forgot about the orange hair, U R so right. We had a chance to sing background for Ollie when he appeared here in MD a few yrs back. He started w/Treat her like a lady, we started backgrnding, he looked to where the harmony was coming from, came over to our table, shook hands and said he was very impressed, sat w/us,took pictures w/us and told us we should be on stage. He said our harmony was very tight, our 16 yrs 2gether, it better be. Lov him and will miss Mr. Woodson.

This is the jam. The R&B group that I performed with, we has quite an experience with Mr. Woodson, he performed at this venue called Cranberries in MD so we went to see the show, as soon as he started with Treat her like a lady, well we started singing background. He looked where the harmony was coming from, came over and said he was impressed, gave us his bus card, shook our hands, paid for our drinks and we continued on singing background u nti the show was over. We sang backgrnd for Ollie.

@allstatelegs1 He helped the group with his vocals and his writing. He and Otis co-wrote Treat Her Like A Lady which hit # 2 on the R&B charts. In the late 1970's he was asked to replace Dennis when the group was going to Atlantic but didn't make the cut because he had Orangish-colored heair

Happy Holidays. U are right. When Ollie took over as lead he took the group to another deminision and Lord Ole Mighty listen to the harmony. I know for I sing w/aR&B vocal group and we do cover songs by the Tempts. We are damn gooood. We ae called Soul Club anf we appeared on the Apollo in New Yor in 05. We are called Soul Club.

I am very fortunate to have this album in my collection. "Just to keep you in my life" is a great track too!
