Ted Nugent - I Love You So I Told You A Lie Lyrics
Everytime I hear your name
You know I wonder why
You wanted to go
I said no
You couldn't come along for the ride
And nobody taggin' behind
Don't you know
I love you so I told you a lie
Love you so I told you a lie
When I told you goodbye
A family life and a lovin' wife
Just ain't my kinda scene
Well when I'm all alone
I get to thinkin' I was kinda mean
We couldn't had a good thing
But I never wanted to try
Don't you know
I love you so I told you a lie
Love you so I told you a lie
When I told you goodbye
You know I told you a lie
Ah, ah ah, ah ah
Ah, ah ah, ah ah
Ah, ah ah, ah ah
Ah, ah ah, ah ah
A family life and a lovin wife
Just ain't my kinda scene
Well when I'm all alone
And the nights are cold
I get to thinkin' I was kinda mean
We couldn't had a good thing
But I never wanted to try
Don't you know
I love you so I told you a lie
Love you so I told you a lie
When I told you goodbye
You know I told you a lie
When I told you goodbye
Don't you know, I love you so
Don't tou know, I love you so I told you
Don't tou know, I love you so I told you a lie
Love you so I told you a lie
I loved you so I told you a lie
I loved you so I told you a lie
Loved you so, loved you so
Ahhhhhh
Loved you so I told you a lie
Ahhhhhh
Loved you so I told you a lie

How Strong is Meat Loaf voice!!. Uncle Ted at his best
I've always loved Ted sticking the Stone's "The Last Time" riff at the very end
I had always thought it was the Beatles "I want to tell you", a song Ted actually covered on his "State of shock" album.
Street Rats. Live it.
Hammerdown. Dig it.
Aquest àlbum es una maravella del rock!
lol....an ''impeach Donald Trump'' commercial b4 an uncle ted song.....

Good memories, cruising in my first car with this in my 8track player and cranked up! No worries except graduating high school, and getting the hell out of chanute!

This is the 1st cassette I bought from Columbia House record & tape club!
Did you have to tape a penny to the ad in the TV guide? I did it too
On the album liner: "To all you muthas who I'll call friends---hang on tight because here we go again!"

Pioneer super tuner with Jensen tri-axials

+Brian Heavner OR THE 8 TRACK PLAYER!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
How about the old mind blowers??
Kinda ironic considering who's singing it "I'd never lie to you and that's a fact, I would do anything for love but I won't do that!"
This album will be rediscovered soon. Ted Nugent is nuts. But man this band could play.
why is he nuts? because his politics are different than yours?
Ted is not nuts, damn good guitar player.
Is it me but for the last 40 yrs I'm still piss that the song faded out when he melded the song with the Stones, "This could be the last time." What a good jam. Could have lasted a minute longer. Grrrrrrr. ....
crazze6163 tell
crazze6163 What better way to end a song I agree with you could 've been longer from one rock dog to another the old songs never die they just get better with time keep the faith Bruce

Tony Thomas tell lock up love
All I remember is listening to this on a cassette player that some kid from the Bay Area had smuggled into summer camp late at night and forever giving up on my Elton John and Chicago records. It was rock-n-roll for me after hearing this Ted/Meatload masterpiece. Read somewhere that Meat got paid $1,000 to help finish the record. ROCK ON Reverend Atrocious Theodosius.
BTW I am picking up a George Harrison type riff at the end of the song, more than Stones. Similar to one that appears in Thousand Knives on the following album. All good.
Lol, "Meatload". INDEED!
You have a good ear had this on vinyl when it got near the end I'd crank it up to hear the riffs you tslk about good times the first couple of albums Ted Nugent Free for All were great after awhile he got full of himself stay the course Bruce
That closing rif is "Last Time" by the Rolling Stones.
Ted/Meatloaf rock. Great tune.
..ted dont let your meatloaf ..just kidding..would like to see an hear ted recreate meatloaf an the rest of the band to sing all of meatloafs tracks..I'd pay good money
Wow, I never knew that was Meatloaf singing on this track. I have always loved Ted and this song, but was never a big Meatloaf fan. However, after all these years I will have a little different view about that now.
Lindsy love Meat still sells 250,000 records a year! I bet Teddy, as damn good as he is, doesn't sell that! Meat loaf Bat Out of Hell is a one of the best albums. Ranks in the top 20 albums every. deserves a listen!
..id pay good money to see meatloaf an ted recreate these songs live..
On together too
my new favorite song :3
In my opinion the beat album he produced love Meat Loafs voice on this album.
wonder why the vocals were split....heard it was a falling out with DSH....two personalities too big to last together i guess
Killer song an album ! Derek got out of line haha
That was one of my favorite albums in '76 I'm just now finding out that was meatloaf singing. Learn something new every day.
Only time I was a meatloaf fan.....
habitualmasticator all dumb
This along with Fool For The City and Rocks.
this was meat loaf as the vocalist after st. holmes left for a bit, he later re-recorded the tracks as bonus tracks
Ted and Meat A +++ oh yean... Gold stAAAAA !!!!
Ted is from Detroit, there should not be a toyota on any of his youtube stuff, should there ?
dont piss off Ted......
short simple sweet and to the point. good ol ROCK and ROLL!
YES they were!!!! they could never live together long though meat's voice and ted's guitar would be trying to out do each other.
otheroshow 666 water
Uncle Ted and Meatloaf were an excellent combo!
He had meatloaf fever.
st.holmes was the best thing ted ever had
Thank you Ted for Meat Loaf promotion, Thank you Meat Loaf for helping Ted on great album :)
An excellent lead vocal by Meat Loaf, too!!
In one word...AWESOME!
One of my favorite Nugent songs. Also, one of my favorite "finishes" to a song starting at around the 3:00 mark.
One of Teds under appreciated greats.
