Tea Party, The - Sun Going Down Lyrics

Thirteenth apostle knocking at my door.
Telling me that I can't play with you no more.
I guess the wages of sin now, couldn't buy my meals.
Screaming out your name baby, how does that feel?

Feeling through the out door, all throughout the night.
Waiting for the doctor to come and make me right.
I guess the wages of sin now, couldn't buy my meals.
Screaming out your name baby, how does that feel?

Sun's going down, sun's going down.
Sun's going down, sun's going down.

Sing throughout the streets baby,
And you sing throughout the night.
You go and tell the people
My soul is aflight.
I guess the wages of sin now couldn't buy my meals.
I'm screaming out your name baby, how does that feel? It feels good

Thirteenth apostle, oh he's knocking at my door yeah!
Telling me that I can't, I can't play with you no more
I guess the wages of sin now, they couldn't buy my meals.
I'm screaming out your name babe, baby how does that feel?

Sun's going down, sun's going down
Let me tell you something baby.
Sun's going down, sun's going down
Let me tell you something baby.
Sun's going down, sun's going down

Come on
Come on in my kitchen girl
Come on in my kitchen baby.
Right now.
Right now.
Right now.
Now listen.
Do the boogie.
Do the boogie.
Please, do the boogie.
Come on, do the bogie yeah.

sun's going down, sun's going down

Had an older mate who had this cassette, ask your parents if you dont know, it sounded like jim morrison fronting led zepplin. I had to hunt a copy down in sleepy little Adelaide in the early 90s Most music places looked puzzled when i asked for the tea party. Glad i found it and have introduced lots of people to this band. Probably one of the best albums most people wouldnt have heard of. Awesome live to

  2. R.... T....

Are you fucking kidding ? Where have they been hiding ? SoundGarden had a baby with Jim Morrison in Kashmir Amazing Voice

GREAT BAND!!!! A trio of gifted musicians. Ah the 1990s, when music was played by musicians. These 3 RIP!!!!

    A.... C....

Not sure what you mean by the RIP but the tea party are back together touring and have an new album out

    A.... C....

@Danny Jackson I'm assuming they meant rip as in they shred/kill it...cause they're definitely still alive

  9. m.... ....

    Zeppelin would be proud

  10. j.... M....

Zeppelin with Jim Morrison on vocals, that's what we all said in the shop , think it was our EMI rep? who got us to pay attention when we first heard it in ? 93 ISH. Good band

  11. M.... W....

    T.... T....

Me too! My fav!! Seeing the Tea party tonight!! 😍🤘

  13. F.... Y....

one of the more unsung bands out there. this got me through high school

  14. p.... g....

to be quite honest this reminds me of silverchair's Israel's Son because it first goes to a slow beat into a fast aggressive vocal sound but the only thing is this song came out two years before Israel's Son even came out, just my opinion that's all

  15. K.... P....

i hear a lot of Led Zep influences here...great band tho!

    K.... P....

Lots of Robert Johnson influences too, the intro section is very similar to the beginning of "Me and the Devil blues"

    K.... P....

Funny how it reminds me the famous "devil went down to the Georgia" so much.

  16. m.... ....

Saw them at Reading in 1997 i think it was, they were outstanding!

    m.... ....

    the lizard king has returned

  17. J.... ....

This song needs several zeros at the end. only 10k views is a travesty.

  18. T.... H....

This whole album is perfection, every track. Enjoyed a few tunes from the other albums but this is stunning. Basic production brings out all the qualities that give them that older kind of sound. Amazing :)

  19. A.... ....

    Oh man, this is amazing

  20. B.... R....

ahhhh the memories this brings back! i'm suddenly 15 again, riding the school bus down the country roads with my headphones on, drowning out all the screaming kids...

    B.... R....

I'm well aware I'm three years late but i just wanted to say I'm doing the same thing with the same sone

  21. E.... C....

captain beefheart kind of shit going on here, hum?

  22. M.... Y....

was my favorite album in high school, think they have more of a doors influence than zeppelin, he sounds a hell of alot like morrison

  23. O.... C....

One of the best albums you've probably never heard of.
