Tallest Man On Earth, The - The Wild Hunt Lyrics

There is a crow moon coming in well you keep looking out
It is the hollow month of march now sweeping in
Lets watch phenomenons that rise out of the darkness now
Within the light she is my storming heroine

And old machines abandoned by the ancient races stand
I hear them humming down below in hollow earth
Oh hell I guess I know in a while I will go under too
But just for now I let the spring and storm return

I left my heart to the wild hunt a-comin
I live until the call
And I plan to be forgotten when I'm gone
Yes I'll be leavin in the fall

And I will sleep out in the glade just by the giant tree
Just to be closer when my spirit's pulled away
I left a nervous little boy out on the trail today
He's just a mortal to the shouting cavalcade

I left my heart to the wild hunt a-comin
I live until the call
And I plan to be forgotten when I'm gone
Yes I'll be leaving in the fall

Let's open up the windows have Satan departing now
And we'll be even when the blues fall down like hail
Hell I don't even care no more about cadejo now
If he's a white one or a black one on the trail

I left my heart to the wild hunt a-coming
I live until the call
And I plan to be forgotten when I'm gone
Yes I'll be leaving in the fall

Yes I'll be leaving in the fall

Hello there, I hope you are well :) I just wanted to say, If you haven't already gotten a chance to listen to our Tallest Friends' brand new LP, 'I Love You. It's a Fever Dream, i'd strongly encourage you to do so now. What are you waiting for? :) It is Matsson's first album in four years, and it is astounding. Probably his most intimate, honest and introspective album to date. Healing a broken heart takes a long time ( or, sadly sometimes it remains broken) , and this album is not some radical , happy step away from Dark Bird is Home, theme wise. From the wilds of this album (as I have uploaded), through to this latest, new work, I feel we are shown how a heart evolves over time. For many, I think we have moments in our lives when our hearts have felt invincible, and untamed. But heartbreak changes this, and the daring bravado of the heart of a King of Spain turns into something else, something real and raw, and inescapably human. New romance and love are huge themes, divorce is huge (you are "allowed", expected, even, to be angry, sad), but what of the following years? The fever dreams (not quite awake, not quiet asleep)? This is what this new album means to me. And I'd love to hear your thoughts on what it meant to you :)

Kristian has been a long time favorite of mine. His dominance on the guitar cannot be understated. He plays with such control, power, confidence, precision and masculinity. And to this, he adds sensitivity, delicateness and nuance. On top of this, he has a great sense of melody that make his songs sound dramatic, yet confined. Lyrically, he's very metaphorical, but in all honesty, I'm not a huge lyric person when it comes to listening to music. I tend to get lost in the melodies and instrumentation that many times I never analyze what is being said.

As far as this album is concerned, it is excellent. His sound is improving and he's more atmospheric, spacial, esoteric. I especially love listening to My Dear, What I've been Kicking Around, and I'm A Stranger Now in order. Just amazing playing, and music. His voice sounds clearer, less froggy, and more polished. To me it sounds as if he's going to continue to make excellent music without doing a complete 180 on his signature sounds. Personally, I've been playing my guitar non-stop since I've heard this record.

  10. magalator

    Gorgeous album.

  11. Jeremy Hunter

A little edit: I think you mean the second song starts at 3:22 not 3:32. Thanks for uploading!

  12. A. Leigh

The thing that makes this beautiful is the emotion he conveys in every song. It never fails to be heartrending or bittersweet or just pure, absolute joy for things that eventually pass on. When I listen, I feel like I've heard a piece of his soul.

  13. gar ryan

he reminds me of a young Dylan , i mean that , and bob is a god.

  14. Kazuma

is the riddle that it's the moon?

    Mr. Foxx Frequency

Yes, I am pretty sure :)

  15. Jeroen ja

No other artist can make me feel like the tallest man on earth. After al these years I never got bored by any of his songs no mather how often I listened to them. Got me trough some very bad times aswell. Best artist in the world to me!

  18. Morning Glory

It's so hard to imagine that when I first heard Kristeen, I mocked his amazing voice.  It took a few listens to truly appreciate his genius but now I recognize this guy as the one of the true musical and under appreciated musical voices of our generation.

    jame bobcat

it does take a second to get used to

  19. Morning Glory

They don't make music like this anymore (Sarcasm)

  20. Halo lumineux

Such a bless for broken hearts :') thank you

  21. Gaelle 1947

Discovering this guy provoked in me a musical epiphany as life-changing as when I "found" Bob Dylan in my early days - that powerful impact that happens when a singer/songwriter genuinely bares his soul and becomes a channel for universal consciousness and the voice of his generation! Yeah Kristian - long may you run!!!

  22. Felipe Arthur

    Thats so awesome XDD

  23. Matt Kehoe

Found him on npr tiny desk concert, so glad I did he's amazing

  24. Givingitashot.

    Sufuckingperb!

    Mr. Foxx Frequency

I'm really happy you enjoy it!!! So funny, I was just on his new channel when I got your notification. So happy he is doing his demo project! ......Cheers :)

  25. Hirosam

You know, the last days has been terrible, sad, plain unjust and frustrating. But ya know? the Tallest Man On Earth can always make things better, somehow. Thank you for sharing this!

    Mr. Foxx Frequency

What a wonderful comment!!! I totally agree. I like how his music helps me process things, myself....You're so very welcome, Hirosam! Thanks for listening to the album here : )

  26. Soulsspark

How someone can dislike this is beyond me.

    Alex Green

I suppose I am "beyond you".... Because his voice sounds like nails on a chalkboard... sorry!

    r h

@Alex Green same, sometimes the guitar is pleasant, but the voice is so grating and raw that my ears hurt

    TheFunkinboy

@Timothy Neumann I like both. You can like something without having to hate the other one....

    Isolated Lemons

i mean, i like it, but i also get why someone wouldn't. this kind of music is pretty minimal and thats not to everyone's liking. i certainly don't like 99% of folk music, but something about this album always spoke to me

    Oki's Weird Stories

I disliked because the douche who stole it and uploaded it littered it with adverts

  27. Cory Widmayer

A Thousand Ways -> The Moon
    ... my guess :)
Also, is it light in the middle of every man's fall, or fog? If its fog, I think it really hints towards the moon. My favorite song of his, though the entire album is so powerful... thanks for the share.

    Mr. Foxx Frequency

That's what I first thought. I feel like there is still a lot of enigma and mystery going on in the song lyrics, and I am not quite sure what the real deal is. I am sticking with moon for now, but there are definitely ways in which one could also interpret it to be about god as well. Such a beautifully allusive poem our tall friend has written. If it were about God it could also be about the moon, too, as God would have created that wonderful orb I suppose............ Your guess is as good as mine : )

    joe

my 2 cents, it is a song about the anima.

    joe

and thousand ways may be a reference to joseph cambells hero with a thousand faces.

    Mr. Foxx Frequency

Now that is a unique and intriguing observation! I have definitely not thought of that possibility before. Thank you : )

    welltoucansamatthatgame

    What do you mean?
