Even though Beast in Black is not meant to be the most "serious" metal, at this moment the lyrics really hit me because I broke up with my girlfriend yesterday. Her actions were never the same as her words, so she was basically lying for me about many things, but I still chose to believe her time after another. "Love's so blind - Sweet true lies", I really relate to these words right now..

I saw these guys last Friday in Helsinki. Amazing show with the Lordi as a warm up band. Can't stop wondering this guy's voice, from the lady sound to heavy dude in seconds. Thank you for the show.

This style of rock/metal is basically torment metal. It is a stage after blue pill catastrophe where you look back at the fantasy of love with women in a state of painful remembrance. Go full red pill, accept they don't love, and move on with life. The 80s metal vibe is basically a masochistic worship of the pain that falling in love with women causes. The nostalgic chord progression is there to evoke a feeling of looking back fondly, but on what? Looking back fondly on pain, that's what.

Now THIS is what taday's love songs and breakup songs should sound like! Not some Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift pop, or Dan+Shay country pop bullshit.
