Swans - The World Looks Red / The World Looks Black Lyrics
Push it away
The world looks red
People wish fish eyes
The ground sucks
Displacing the fog
The weight of my body is too much to bear
The memory drains the life from a dog
An ocean of insects works like a sheet
The immevoable fact buries my mind
In a horse-hair coat in a pile on the floor
Bury my mind
Bury mind
Bury my mind
Follow the Sleeper Man
Follow the Maker Man
Follow the Keeper Man
Follow the Leaver Man
Follow the Sleeper Man
Follow the Sleeper Man
Follow the Sleeper Man
Follow the Sleeper Man

Sonic better
This is great, but imo Sonic Youth's manic original is far better
GR Rich true. I can’t get that Lee Ranaldo guitar sound out of my head.
la wea fome. nada nuevo si es swans.
Just realized the total length of the track and the transition point are based around multiples of 7
sonic youth made the definitive version of red, but this i can get behind.
Agreed, but M. Gira wrote the original
i really really like this album
Sounds like a meditative cowboy.
I love that it transitions exactly halfway through the song
like in kirsten supine!
@Alexis Blais kirsten supine has one of the best transitions in a song in atleast this century
11:50 on is otherworldly
Is Gira a part time hypnotherapist?
I was listened this song for first time with my friends'sister a.g.
She was amazing❤😍
And this song was amazing incredible fantastic entertaining😍😍
I feel like thus comment should be on a Bruno mars video not here but thats none of my buisness
I will.

At the love show, I love how they melded this melody with the lyrics from Some Things We Do.
That is fucking super.
This side of swans reminds me of a lot of post-punk bands and a lot like bauhaus!!
I mean they used to be a post-punk band...
the first part has the same lyrics as a song by sonic youth
I was thinking the exact same thing! :)
@leonardo f Gira gave it to them back then, have a google...I saw it somewhere.
@leonardo f The first part was originally a Sonic Youth song that Gira wrote, off of their album Confusion is Sex. So technically it is a Sonic Youth song that Gira happened to write.
Love the flute at 6:08.
It's the little details that make this music so intriguing.
Absolutely
that melody could last for days, i wouldn't get tired of it. So catchy and melancholic, but warm and comforting at the same time.
thank you Michael for these last three masterpieces, already have them in phisical copy. Please, keep the music coming, we love you too
